The Rose 104: Modern Studio in Heart of the City

It was central form everything so it was a plus point and also very neat.

The fact that I could not get any visitors coz my son was also in cape town and wanted to visit but he couldn't so I didn't like that part. I heard some of the other guests talking about the same thing.

The place is nice and comfortable

We got charged a cleaning fee but no cleaning service was rendered. They did not give us broom and mop to clean for ourselves. We used the same towels troughout our stay they didnt offer new ones. Soap were not refilled. This makes the place comfortable ONLY for a single night. If you will stay 3 days and more you are on your own. Sad

Everything is within walking distance. High quality appliances. Wi-fi speed is very fast. Place is well secured. Nice swimming pool with amazing views of Table Mountain. Easy check-in.

I found the amenities to be appropriate, the kitchen was well equipped and the room was very comfortable. Loved that there was a smart TV and a great couch. The balcony while it borders on the street, was a nice touch. But if you are on the first floor like I was, then it's best to keep the blinds a bit low so that you can have your privacy. Wi-Fi was great! Building security was good plus using a pin to get in the room, even better than keys. The Rose was an excellent location, because it was pretty close to so many nice restaurants that were just within 5-10 mins walk and the Bo-Kaap is next door really. It is truly good value for money.

The Rose is located inside a building so it is sometimes a bit of a weird situation when your GPS indicates the back of the building rather than the front. The indications sent by message were a good guide however. There is no space to store away your suitcases, but I guess putting them on the bench or by the bed does it when you are just one guest. About the bathroom, the water fills up the bottom of the cabin very quickly and under 5 mins, you have to be done with the shower if you do not want it to overflow. I think that has to do with the drain that drains the water far too slowly. And perhaps it is because of this, that the bathroom leaks. That needs fixing so that a guest doesn't have to use their towels cleaning the water.
