"A beautiful comfortable cottage"

10.0

A beautiful cottage in a perfect position for touring Northumberland . Very well equipped and a comfortable bed. An Antarctic outdoor space with beautiful walks on the doorstep. A lovely stay

Nothing If I was fussy I’d like a downstairs mirror

"A short staycation in a lovely location"

7.0

Location was great, picturesque and peaceful. The garden set up because the weather was nice. The beds were really comfy too. It was welcoming and clean. Information book was great.

Just a few small things- more than 1 toilet roll, cleaning materials, something to clean dishes with like a scourer, a lighter to light fire lighter for fire. Also other self catering places leave a small welcome pack, but even oil for cooking would have been good. Also would be great to know there’s an iron, washing machine etc. I don’t think that was information on booking.com. A fulllength mirror?

"Well placed cottage for the first half of Hadrian's Well"

7.0

We stayed one week in the cottage as we were walking the first part of Hadrian's Wall. The cottage is well situated at a driving distance of Newcastle, Hexham, and the major sites of the wall than we wanted to visit. We also drove up to Durham, definitiely worth the visit. The contact with the agency was smooth and we had fast answers to all our questions.

The confort of the cottage is correct, but the equipment is a bit short for cooking, and the beds were not very comfortable, in particular the double bed that has a very soft mattress : we tend to move a lot in our sleep, and this kind of bed is not good for our old backs I'm afraid.

"Beautifully presented and well equipped little gem of a cottage"

10.0

Beautifully presented. Very clean. Had everything we needed - towels, bedding, tea, coffee, washing up liquid, tea towel and dish cloth, etc, all thoughtfully provided. Comfy beds, lots of hot water, and good water pressure. I grew up in Ovingham, so I may be biased, but it really is the most beautiful spot overlooking the village green. Excellent communication from the host. Would 100% recommend.
