The b3dding most definatly needed an iron and duvets which we removed because of the temperature were quite stained A hover under and next to the bed might hve been a good idea asitwould have got rid of the hair ties. Location made up for the rest

The location was good. Central and just a stones throw from the castle.

The property was dirty on arrival and smelled heavily of drugs. The floor had not been hoovered, there were crumbs, tobacco, and other dirt.

The big issue was with the bathroom. Two minor issues to begin with: 1. One of the towels was still very damp. 2 Impossible to fit the kettle under the sink tap so ended up filling the kettle using the shower head, Then: 3. The water situation: Whilst I appreciate that it is an old building the water situation was bad. The flow from the sink tap was very slow, just a dribble when we first got there and first thing in the morning. It did improve a bit if you let the shower run for a while. The water was stone cold too, so it was very difficult to have a decent wash. The shower took the best part of five minutes after being turned on for the water to come through. This was the case when we first got there and first thing in the morning. It was stone cold. It never heated up. I have a two minute long video of the shower and it is very clear to see that there is no heat or steam coming from it. Even with the bathroom light/fan on there would still be a bit of steam. I managed to have a very quick, freezing shower, tentatively sticking one limb in at a time. I was unable to wash my hair as it was too cold. I scanned the QR code for instructions on how to use the shower but not even luke warm water came through. My friend could not stand the cold water so she never had a shower, or a wash. This totally ruined our evening. We both went out feeling uncomfortable and unwashed. Due to us having a set time to meet other friends we did not have time to even put in a complaint, message the owner a straight away, never mind wait for them to come out to rectify the situation. I received a message from the owner at about 1045pm reminding me to observe quiet time when returning to the accommodation. We were still out but I replied to this message straight away with our complaints. No answer was received until the next morning offering to bring a dry towel around. I've requested a full refund and also raised a dispute with Booking.com.
