I cannot recommend this apartment because in my opinion it is simply not good value. For what it offers (general condition, cleanliness, and amenities), it is overpriced and one can definitely find better quality apartments at a significantly lower price point in St Francis (I know because we'd stayed at one just a few days earlier). Cleanliness was selective. The room appeared clean. The bathmat, however, was absolutely filthy. The towels had been washed but looked grayish and felt limp and unfresh (due to being older and well used). The bathroom had a slightly unpleasant smell (urine). The apartment is in need of some maintenance/TLC. There's black mold growing on the bathroom ceiling. The bathroom faucet is very loose and needs tightening. The table lamps appeared to be there for decoration and were not functional: one had a missing plug (it had been cut off and the end of the cord had been wrapped with tape), another had no outlet nearby and no extension cord available. Yet another had a broken/crooked lampshade. Liquid soap was almost out (there was just a little left on the bottom) and there was no shampoo (every other apartment we'd stayed at in SA offered good quality shampoo, soap, and body lotion). Overall, we got a feeling that the owner is not present and has no idea what is going on with his property, and the property manager is getting away with the bare minimum, doesn't keep up with the repairs and maintenance and let's maintenance issues pile up.

the location is excellent. situated right on the port with a view of the boats and sea. there is plenty of cupboard space with adequate electrical appliances. the apartment comes with a gas braai which is a real bonus. the apartment is about 50m away from 5 excellent restaurants and a local pub. there is a washing machine in the premises which is convenient if you have been travelling for a while. you are able to dry your clothes on the verandah on the clothes horse. you are able to book fishing trips as well as tours around the canals via a shop nearby. also only 30 minutes away from Jefreys Bay for a days outing.

Great, quiet apartment with balcony overlooking the harbour. Bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Plenty of secure parking, felt very safe. Easy access.

Beautiful views. Also liked that the restaurants were close. And lovely poolside.

Location was great. Well equipped. Perfect for a couple of days.

The ceiling above the shower needs some attention. Seems like wrong paint was used. Needs water proof paint. Something that can be addressed easily
