Cozy Cottage w Hot Tub, 5 min walk to Main St

The amount of space was just right, and the king-size bed was super comfortable. The kitchen was exceedingly clean. The location was convenient, but we definitely needed to drive everywhere. The hostess was great about communicating with us.

When we walked in, the smell of cats knocked us over, which is odd because no pets are allowed. I hope the problem was fixed before the next visitors arrived. Also, it's kind of a stretch to say the house is walkable to Main Street.

The location was perfect. The coffee with the coffee maker was great! The beds were so very comfortable. The decor was perfect.

There was a spiral stairway to the upstairs and could not be navigated by 80 year old women. If we could have done the stairs, which we did, there was no bathroom upstairs. Going down spiral stairs in the middle of the night was very dangerous for old people.

This cozy cottage was everything we envisioned and more. It was perfect for our family of 5. It was clean, cozy, classy, and very well-equipped with anything a traveling family might need. We would pick this place again in a heartbeat.

The location was not as described, meaning it is not a 5 minute walk to Main Street. Just to get to the main road -not Main Street - takes about 5 mins by car along a very curvy and hilly one lane road and then another 5 minutes by car to reach just the end of the actual Main Street. I would suggest revising that part of the description to be removed because it is not accurate and this was a factor in booking the room because of the convenience. This is a cute and comfortable house but the fact there is no upstairs bathroom is somewhat of an issue. If nothing else, a half bath with a sink and toilet would be very helpful so a person does not have to make their way down the winding stairs to get to a bathroom. This makes it difficult for mature citizens to stay here. Also, I suggest adding a window covering or curtains on the downtairs back windows for privacy and security. The rear sliding glass door does not lock and should be repaired. We were a group of women and that made us a little uncomfortable. It would be nice to add a full length mirror in the downstairs main bedroom closet and add a light near or next to the full length mirror in the upstairs loft bedroom. We could not get the outside garbage container open to dump our trash. We realize it is "bear" proof but it is also people proof!
