Apartment 2, 27 Skinner Street

Clean, well laid out apartment minutes walk from restaurants, shops and sea front. Comfortable for four adults. Large kitchen with space and airier for drying clothes/towels. Surprisingly quiet at night for sleeping even though on well used route during day/evening.

A freezer compartment in the fridge would have been useful as would have more than one saucepan lid. Parking outside the apartment on arrival/department as well as for the stay was a challenge! Perhaps some info on recycling.

Loved the space and location. It was a very comfortable apartment and we really enjoyed staying there! Would absolutely stay again. Communication was great and having someone not far away to call if there was a problem was really reassuring. Lots of great bonuses about the apartment - the TV has digital channels set up, the kitchen had lots of crockery and the shower is amazing! We really enjoyed our break here!

Our check out time was 10am. Which is pretty early, but we made sure we were packed up and ready to leave (which is sometimes hard with children). We were just finishing up when the housekeeper came in at 9.50am. It felt a little unfair, because we were then feeling pressured to get out even quicker, and a final sweep of the rooms was rushed and hectic. Due to this we left at 5 to. And although we weren't trying to get our 5 minutes money's worth! - it was a rushed and observed exit, which was a shame. The lady was very lovely though, and chatted with us, but we felt the pressure to leave as quickly as possible - even more than we were already feeling. Some people might not respect the check out time. But if we needed to be out before ten then it needs to say. Otherwise, I'd suggest housekeeping comes in after the check out time. Other than that very small thing, we loved it.

The only thing to like about this property is the location.

Property was filthy and reading previous comments from 2 yrs ago nothing much has changed. Hairs under the bath mat and dirty cloth left in bathroom. Bathroom door didn’t lock. We were only left 3/4 toilet roll for 3 people for 2 days. No tea, coffee, sugar or other condiments in the kitchen. Cobwebs throughout the property and stairway was filthy. When checking the beds, hairs were found under the pillows and on the sheets which made us go and purchase our own bedding. Only one towel in each room which we weren’t confident that they were clean to use. One pillow was stained All furniture tired but especially the dining table leg which was unsafe. Access to the property is difficult and needs looking at and possibly needs some WD40 on the locks

It was up 3 flights so steep steps and my husband uses a stick, bathroom is too small when there is 4 adults

Location was very central.

Location good, I think parking in Silver Street Car Park advisable and only £9 for 24hrs. There was a scratch card in apartment but just easier to park and walk its a 3-4 minute walk.

The key code lock to the front gate could benefit from some maintenance , it was a bit stiff on occasions .
