Takoma Park Home ~ 6 Mi to the National Mall!

It was close to where I needed to be.

The host was not responsive- it says 3pm check in on booking and I couldn’t get in until 4- with no response from the host. The neighborhood was sketchy. The house was not very clean and there weren’t enough beds as advertised. There were minimal utensils in the kitchen for a large family. Barely enough soap and toilet paper. We had to purchase all of these things, as well as an air mattress to accommodate our family.

Location was perfect. Owner was very attentive to our needs.

This place was spacious for two families with kids. It was clean and the kitchen was a great size for making some meals and gathering together. We stayed for four nights and it was fairly close and easy to get to the capitol area, except during the rush hour. Some of us had to work remotely for couple of days and it was nice to have a dedicated place to work.

The property is on a main road, so a bit noisy.

I can’t say much we will only be there for a few a hour and where very cold and uncomfortable. The heat didn’t work, and the owner said that we can leave and we will get a refund, but yet I have not received a single penny. I’m very disappointed and upset

Decorated to a high standard. Good amount of bathrooms and comfortable. There was an issue with the door code but was rectified by Lily promptly.

Neighbourhood was a little sketchy, especially near the gas station at the top of the street. Would stay clear of that, rest of the street was fine. Some of the windows were covered with toilet paper instead of blinds, which was ironic because there was none in the bathroom…

The property was very clean. The furniture was comfortable and beds were nice. Instructions for WiFi, emergency contacts and checking out were clearly written.

There were no window shades on one side of the house. Kitchen was a little worn. The electrical plug in the kitchen tripped with toaster and coffee maker on and I needed to reset fuse. Left front knob on stove was loose.

Decor, design, household layout. 4Br, 2Bath, + office space Plenty of indoor seating + outdoor Porch swing & bench Washer & Dryer in unit Location close to grocery stores, restaurants & to to slingo creek walking path It was very clean, had lots of towels, and the owner responded to most requests promptly.

*** we as female travelers did not feel totally safe *** *we were told we could park in the driveway. However when we came back from a short shopping trip the driveway was blocked by a truck. We later learned these are tenants downstairs who broke their agreement and were not supposed to park there, however we did not know there were tenants so it was surprising. *some bedroom doors did not have locks on them **temperatures changed drastically from room to room upstairs** *we asked for spare blankets & were told they were upstairs in the chaise lounge storage but they were not- just sheets & softer pillows *missing shampoos, conditioners & unopened bars of soaps *missing kitchen essentials: Kitchen knives, pot holders, kitchen towels, vegetable peeler, strainer & tea kettle, (limited to one sauce pot) *missing Roku remote needed for upstairs bedroom for TV work *towel rack in upstairs bathroom broken * difficult to pull out of driveway Was not given info on how to get into the property until we asked a few hours before arrival
