super sweet host, she took me on a full tour of the island and dropped me off at the airport. truly went above and beyond.

The rooms were fantastic and large! The mattress was the most comfortable we experienced in Japan and they even had options for tatami mats if you would rather. While the bathrooms are shared, they are meticulously cleaned daily making it no big deal. There are 2 showers for 7 rooms and 3 toilets. We never had an issue with this as the ratio was more than alright. The owner was extremely kind and wore a phone on a necklace that had Google translate open at all times. She was the best! The location was also completely great.

The only complaint we had was that there was nowhere to really lounge. We thought instead of dining chairs in the common space they could replace them with a couch.

The owner there knows a lot about Hatijoujima Island. I very much appreciate her kindness to take me back to the airport after checking out. I've missed hotsprings there, but I'd like to stay her house once again!

I needed some cold drinks at night and I had to go to the vending machine nearby. But that was not a big problem.

Very clean and modern. Free laundry, coffee.
