The stairs to the Appartment are steep - no a problem for me but some might find tricky.

Be careful when coming in since the stairs are very steep and narrow! :D It wasnt an issue for us but it could be for large luggage!
AUVery convenient location in the heart of Alfama. Very comfortable and well equipped apartment. The host was extremely helpful and organised transportation to and from the airport including accommodating a car seat for a two year old. The heating worked well in the Lisbon winter. We were able to cook our own meals and to do a few loads of washing which made our stay even more convenient. The wifi signal was strong and we were able to stream some episodes of Bluey on the TV to keep the little one entertained.
The stairs in the old building are very steep which was fine for us but could be an issue for those not as mobile. The washing machine is a washer only, not a dryer, but we made good use of the clothes hanger and heating to dry our washing.

BED BUGS…. What started as a fun trip and great stay ended in a very disappointing way of handling things by the owner. During our stay we found bed bugs. The host who is your main POC and arranges everything on behalf of the owner is lovely and helpful but can only do so much. We have informed them immediately after finding a bed bug and also when we found one upon check out. Both during day time, so imagine how many there might’ve been at night. But when we asked if they could meet us in the middle for the extra costs we needed to make (dry cleaner etc.) to make sure we didn’t bring them into our own homes, there was complete silence. Reached out to the owner several times, but he kept ignoring us completely. So based on that and the fact that there were bed bugs, we unfortunately would NOT recommend this place
