"We stayed as a group of four adults using the house as a base to go climb mount snowdon - a 30 min drive away. The loun"

The property was just perfect for us using it as a base to climb mount snowdon. It had all the facilities we needed including a hot shower and very comfy beds.

"A dream"

10.0

This property ooses history & old-fashioned class. A fabulous layout for families with lovely big dining table & outdoor eating space. Well kept garden & beautiful rural outlook. Abundant birdlife - even a crossbill & lapwing heard. Huge lounge & tv which the teenagers made good use of. V well equipped kitchen. Super responsive owners to any issues. Lovely size rooms, comfy beds. Quiet & airy. We stayed during fabulous weather so ate outside several evenings & didn’t need heating. Fabulous walks direct from the house to Moel Siabod, Llyn Gwynant & Blaenau Ff. We saw a total of 5 people over 30miles of walking in glorious weather…. until we hit Snowdon! The place is on the market so book whiile you can!

Nothing. If I was being really picky, some sun loungers would have been nice 😊

"Pleasant and convenient for a few days but desperately in need of some attention in places"

6.0

The location and views were beautiful and although the weather wasn't conducive to sitting outside, the large garden was lovely. The house itself was much bigger than expected, lots of space to relax in and the beds were very comfy. We enjoyed eating at Elen's Castle Hotel which we walked to and from quite easily; the train station and little Spar shop were equally convenient at a 20-ish minute walk away. It was nice to have use of the log burner in the living room.

The whole place could do with a deep clean and some kitchen appliances need an upgrade. Some areas were really quite dirty and there was thick dust and cobwebs in several corners. We had to scrub pans and utensils before using them and the living room fireplace was still full of ash from previous use.

"Poor"

3.0

Beautiful location, prosecco gift and mince pies, real fire and the views.

The house was very dirty and dusty., especially the kitchen and bedrooms (bedding was clean) the bath leaked into the sitting room, the oven is unreadable so you dont know what settings its on, microwave has all rusted metal inside, there were rat droppings in the green bedroom. No towels we were told to bring our own. Host was very obnoxious and argumentative.

"It's a spacious house but I don't think it offered value for money and I wouldn't stay again."

6.0

The house is really spacious, which was great. The bedrooms were very nice, and our bed was comfortable. The location is great for walks. It was nice to have a separate dining room and living room (or it would have been if it had been warmer in the dining room).

The booking.com description said towels were provided, but the instructions from the host stated that we would need to pay more for towels for stays of less than 7 days, which was disappointing. We received misleading instructions to find the property so that after a 6 hour drive, and arriving in the dark, with 3 tired children, it took us an extra 20 minutes to find it. Providing a dropped pin or what 3 words would have been so much better. We had to bring our own coal and kindling - most properties provide at least one fire's worth to get you started. The wifi password did not work, so we didn't have wifi for our devices. The heating didn't come on at the right times so we were cold in the morning and evening.. and yet the radiators were on full blast at 3am. The house does not really come with any extras to make your stay nicer - we were left 2 dishwasher tabs for a 3 night stay, one bin bag, and no scourers/dishwasher brush to wash up.. just assume you need to bring everything with you. The bins outside the property were overflowing.
