B&B Sud e Magia

Great location. The room was very cozy and nicely decorated. The shower was amazing after a long day of trekking. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good.

Lovely place, the accomodation was very well decorated, looked nice, sweet little balcony. Host was friendly and helpful. Location was good, not too far a walk from parking.

Kitchen was useless, we hadn't realised it didn't come with any pots or pans and had planned to cook while we were there. It would be really useful to have just one pot. I would recommend mentioning in the main description that gets translated that there is nothing to cook with or put in just one pot and a wooden spoon.

The location was spectacular nestled in the top of the Dolomite mountains. Michele was concerned that we were lost and came looking for us. His mom Rosa was a delight, so friendly and kind!! She made us a great breakfast and gave us food to take away for our hike. She also let us leave our luggage in the room after checkout time so we could hike to the peaks. The parking was great although it required that you walk about 5 min to the B&B. The B&B was large and very clean with a charming view out over the rooftops. Rosa’s husband is the cook in the family restaurant where we had an authentic Lucian dinner that was fantastico!

Castelmezzano is a very special place: an authentic historic villa made of stone and perched on a jagged rocky mountain with incredible views. The B&B Sud e Magia was very nice: we got the keys at the restaurant/bar down the road and the owner led us to this cozy one-room traditional stone house at the main pedestrian road. It was perfectly arranged for a couple: a nice room with a small, fully furnished kitchen, a good bathroom, table with chairs, couch, wardrobe, a good bed and a cute little balcony. We could imagine we were villagers for a day.

Nothing really

Rosa was a lovely host. Easy instructions on where to park and where to meet the get the keys. Then Rosa walked us to the Airbnb. Even though there was a language barrier we were made to feel very welcome. The daily breakfast that Rosa made for us was lovely too. The apartment was in a central location, had everything we needed. The town of Castelmezzano is adorable and my favourite place in Italy so far on my travels!

The family that runs this stay are incredible. Some of the kindest people. They went out of their way for us. We love these folks.

Clean apartment right in the centre of the old village, with everything you need. Nice view, good shower pressure, a/c, fan and also a few nibbles if you’re hungry. The hosts are nice and you can have breakfast at their bar/cafe/restaurant. Also the food at the restaurant is great if you wanna have dinner there.

You can’t drive to the property and you can’t drive into the city centre, so you have to walk a good 10 minutes to the property. It’s not a steep incline, but it’s an incline and the road isn’t made for luggage. On a hot day (and it was a scorcher when we got there and when we left) it’s a bit of a pain, especially if you aren’t packing light. The croissants offered for breakfast are beautiful, but would be good to have a more diverse breakfast that included some eggs and bacon, maybe?
