The property is lovely and in an ideal spot. If you suffer with walking or disabilities then this place is not for you.

The noise from above us was ridiculous. All you could hear was the apartment above us, such a shame as the place is in a prime location and is really lovely. If you can cope with noise, then this place will be fine, but I really didn’t appreciate being woken up at 6am, by kids running about.

The location was perfect!

The location was good and easy access and simple to get in and out with the codes. Large property. Bath was great and the shower was and had jets in. The place was nice and clean. We had towels and there was spare in the wardrobe Hangers for clothes and iron if needed. Spacious bedroom meant that we didnt use the lounge area much. Was to cold to use terrace. Kitchen was equipped with any glasses or anything we needed. 2 bottles after water left in the fridge. Comfortable mattress light either side of the bed and USB charges in plugs. Heating easy to use to put up and down Good toilet roll not cheap stuff. Hand wash smelt lovely in the bathroom

The entrance down to the room had a musty smell and so did the kitchen, from the pictures it looked like a open plan kitchen but was a gally kitchen.so the smell didnt really go. As door was always closed. This was annoying having to smell this everytime we came and left and needed to use the kitchen. It was very clean but the smell was annoying. Although great location. It was very noisey. I wasn't aware it was the basement apartment until I had the check in email and there is light that comes in from The street so isn't dark at night and there is nothing you can do. People walking and talking in the streets and could hear the busker down the road clear as day. There was a mirror on the wardrobe but no where to sit and do my make up despite a long desk at the end of the bed so could have been a mirror with lights as there is no natural light. The biggest issue was the pillows. There were very uncomfortable pillows so wasn't the best night's sleep. For the price I paid I woukd expect alot more luxury pillows for a good night's sleep . These definitely weren't. The bed its self was a comfortable bed but the piillows really let it down and sleep is important when your staying away from home. Also I think with the price . 2 robes would be nice to have with their being a bath in the bedroom.as an extra touch.

The space was incredible, this break was more about having tome away together and less about sightseeing etc. So having the separate living area and living space made it feel really luxurious. The bed was the comfiest ive ever slept in. The sofa huge and really comfortable too. Location couldn't have been better. Literally above the shops.

No parking, but couldn't possibly be where its located. Parking is expensive in york but we used justpark and found for £18 for 2 nights at morrisons on the outskirts of town. Didn't bother us but useful to know there's no lift and quite a lot of stairs.

Great location, was very clean & nicely decorated & comfy

It was quite cold downstairs on the first night, even with the heating on. But it warmed up by the next morning

It’s as central as it gets which is amazing. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. The staff were very communicative, I gave them my number and they texted me to say the room was ready hours before the normal check in time which was a great surprise! They also gave us a slightly later check out.

There is a slightly unpleasant smell (as mentioned in previous reviews) but I imagine that’s a problem with the building and potentially not something the company can do anything about.
