Instructions on accessing the room key was very clear and easy to follow. The owner was very quick to respond to all of our questions, including late night when we arrived. The room is clean and spacious. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash all readily available. Just 4 minute walk to train station. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Typical Japanese house in a very local residential neigborhood but still within walking distance from Kyoto Station. A great way to stay in an authentic area while still being well connected to everything. The house itself is clean and comfortable. It has the needed amenities including washing machine and things needed for cooking. A crib was provided for ou baby.

Some spaces can feel a bit small especially if you are more than 2 adults. As typically in Japanese houses walls are thing so you do not necessarily have a lot of privacy even if staying in different bedrooms. Overall still a good stay and good value for money in Kyoto.

Very lovely and beautiful property, it mixes high tech modern facilities (love the automatic bath tub which came with free bath salts to use) with a traditional Japanese style ryokan interior. Neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful.

I’m nitpicking here, but the only thing I didn’t like was how high the entrance stair was.

I liked the close proximity to the train station, local grocery store and to Kyoto Brewery. The traditional Japanese interior was exactly what I was looking for and expected. We used all the appliances and they were all functioning well.

The dryer, even though it worked dried the clothes with a lot of wrinkles. So if you don't want wrinkles, you may have to hang dry certain clothes. Oh and careful of the steep staircase. Otherwise everything else worked great.

Spacious, comfortable, clean and practical two-storey house that offered our group of 3 a relaxing stay.

Our only challenge was carrying our luggage up the steep, narrow stairs, but that was a minor issue and you can always just leave your luggage downstairs.
