"The area is beautiful and we had a great stay"

7.0

The property was very light and airy and the bedrooms were a good size. The children loved the top bedroom and the garden was enclosed- good for the dog and attractive. Proximity to the beach was excellent. The children loved the rock pools.

Unfortunately the Aga wasn’t working and this was disappointing as we didn’t know this until we arrived and asked how to turn it on This meant that it was difficult to cater for 12 people However the agents responded quickly and 2 tabletop ovens and 2 heaters were provided which helped although we would recommend that the Aga is repaired as it appears as a main feature in all the information on the house. The living area was quite tight when everyone was in the house in the evenings We felt that the house needs some TLC.

"Location, Location, Location, but give it a clean and fix some of the gripes."

7.0

The house is a good size for a large group. The beds are really comfy. The location is just amazing. Having an aga is a nice touch. Rear garden is a good size and works well for dogs. Good sized dining table as well. The location, size of the house, and comfy beds is why this gets the score it does considering all the underlying issues.

Fridge and cooker were dirty, not just general, but both had remnants of food from the last guests. In the winter you'll need to keep the fire and aga going to stay warm, but once on it's fine. There was a pane of glass missing from the front porch which in winter let lots of cold air in. There was so much rubbish in the front garden that was pilled up and blown around by the wind from previous guest and the instruction booklet in the house is out of date. There's no games console as stated, the large tv upstairs has no power cord, the bluetooth speaker is stuck on the owners Sonos profile, the TV in the lounge is very small for the size of the room, the hairdryer lead was slightly melted and the infamous legs on the church pew seats in the dining room had our toes a few times. The handle on the patio doors into the garden have a tendency to catch your hand. This is all just a shame and whilst it didn't ruin our holiday, you just expect a bit more from a house like this.

"Great for a large family gathering ….size and location wonderful just needs attention to the points made above"

7.0

Location Size of property and fairly soundproof in bedrooms when young children cried at night Plenty of toilets/showers Lots of hot water Separate kitchen

Living area needs another sofa. Not enough seating for 10 people to sit comfortably in the evenings Sad that the Aga wasn’t working but we were notified Legs sticking out on back of pew….lots of stubbed toes and one more serious injury causing a plate of hot food to be thrown on floor Need more and nicer wine glasses Had to ask for tea towels, bin bags….fairy liquid almost gone but all replaced after messaging Need better knives and recycling bags Needs more lamps in living areas. We had to move one from the bedroom but still wasn’t enough
