Casa “La Santa”

Very clean comfortable apartment. Right beside the main walking street and museum. Nice 5 minute walk to the ocean and Malecon. It's on one of the busier streets in Loreto but the bedroom is in the back so it's fairly quiet. Staff was very helpful.

If you are fussy about noise and like to sleep with your windows open, then you might prefer being on one of the side streets.

The property is quite close to many excellent restaurants, the mission and museum. A very clean convenience store was located next door. The harbor, lighthouse and beach (not Zaragoza) are within easy walking distance. The owners were very responsive to any question sent to them through Booking. They met me with the key right on time. I felt safe to walk around in the area of the Church and Mission as well as the waterfront. The apt was very clean. The bed is a full size, but could have had more and better pillows. There is a futon style sofa that is quite comfortable. You can easily fly into Loredo.

The street is on a main "drag" and is quite noisy, but also quite entertaining. The convenience store next door is 24 hr and customers can be heard through the wall at times as well as delivery trucks which park in front of the property. However, the location is well worth it and the ability to people watch from the sofa is a plus. We noticed a smell near the sink but did not figure out that is was the propane tank that supplies the stove top until the last day, an easy fix. No water was provided for coffee, all other places I have stayed provided drinking water. Bottled water is needed to rinse dishes and none was provided. They have a lovely kitchen but it is not well stocked with items to actually use it easily. The shower water was either scalding hot or cold and could not be adjusted no matter how long you let it run. That was a problem. The lighting in the bathroom and other rooms was very dark, making it hard to put on makeup, etc. It is such a pretty property inside, they have done a great job on most of it, just need to make these few improvements. I would have no problem renting again, and hope the owners will improve the lighting, check the propane connections, and offer drinking water. They can do nothing about hustle and bustle of the community which is part of the charm of Loreto. I really did enjoy my stay there. I stayed for 5 nights.

the property is located in a central position, just in front of Loreto mission; it was clean and easy to find a parking

no outdoor space. being directly on the main road you cannot open windows or curtains because people can watch you inside. some noise during the night. I would suggest also to provide beach towels.
