GBThis was a really nice place. It was really close to the beach, as it says, a ten minute walk. And the beach that it's close to is really quiet which is lovely. The staff were really attentive, and they prepared us a breakfast box when we had to leave at like 5am before breakfast ran. The restaurant is really nice, you can either order, or they do an unlimited buffet for 800 rupees which is great value for money.
The room is a tad small, however, I'm pretty sure they also have larger ones. I asked them almost a month in advance about day trips/excursions. They never really replied to me about it, even after I chased them. When I arrived, they showed me the list they had, and then when I enquired about a night safari (which I had specifically enquired about in advance), it was too late to organise. If I had known about it in advance, I could have booked it. So they really should have sent me the list in advance.
GBGBGood-sized room, comfy bed, quiet location, friendly and helpful staff, good pool, good restaurant- even though curry portions are very small, reception staff are very responsive to your messages. The beach is within a 10-minute walk. The common village people in Goa are good and friendly.
TAXI MAFIA- No Uber or Ola in Goa, Local taxi mafia will force you to give 3 to 4 times more. They will not let goamiles app taxis or other cars to enter the hotel for passengers. The taxi mafia either fights or uses abusive words against other cars and passengers to exploit tourists. The taxi mafia is everywhere in Goa, waiting to exploit tourists. . I always feel safe and comfortable travelling in Uber as they have the driver's full identity, a passcode for the trip, car reg number and picture, a pre-published rate, easy feedback to Uber, etc. Another issue I found with the property is the dodgy Air conditioning, which seems controlled externally using a wifi device fitted to the aircon. The room remains very warm even if you try to reduce the temperature. There are no lifts, which may be an issue for some tourists. No privacy shower or dress-changing facility for the pool. Also, lots of street dogs in Goa. They are everywhere in Goa. Streets, roads, and beaches are full of stray dogs. Please be careful, as they may have diseases like rabies. I will not come back to Goa mainly due to the Taxi Mafia and street dogs. The government seems to be ignoring such issues in places like Goa, which will have a negative impact on tourism. No wonder not many foreign tourists in Goa as expected.
