1448 Antica Dimora Al Merlo Bianco

Perfect location and beautiful property!

Antica Dimora del Merlo Bianco was the best stay in our vacation through Friuli Venezia-Giulia, because it delivered really well on all elements that we value the most: the beds was spacious and comfortable (not always a given in Italy), the room was spacious and well lit, the bathroom was spacious and clean and with updated and functional shower and sink, and the location was fantastic, inside the historical center of Cividale, but not too far from a public parking lot. Cividale is a gorgeous little town, so we had a wonderful time exploring it. We did not have breakfast at Merlo Bianco and we did not try the restaurant, so I cannot comment on that - but I absolutely recommend the rooms upstairs and I would definitively come back!

It was a bit strange to come home and have to walk through the back of an active restaurant, especially in the evening. We did not mind, but I can see how that could be odd for other guests.

Amazing place and location, everything was great. Great Osteria downstairs too.

Only (tiny) downside is the online only check-in and key system.

Beautiful old authentic Italian building with modern bathroom facilities.

It was difficult to find. A small sign on the door to show you were at the right place would have been very helpful.

Nice historical but fully renovated room

At the end of a long tiring day going through the app was not something I enjoyed
