MAZI - Pied à Terre

Very central location, beautiful house and decor, a fully equipped kitchen, a clean apartment, and a very helpful and friendly owner.

This apartment is literally perfect. You are in Old Town but right at the edge so it is incredibly easy to access by car with paid parking steps away or free 10 minute walk, taxi or bus across the street. The interior is complete luxury with cathedral ceilings, elegant interior design, and a private balcony beside a 400 year old mosque to sip coffee beside in the mornings. We stayed here for 7 weeks and loved every minute of it. The Old Town of Rethymno is vibrating with life and this apartment is close but not too close to all the action. Walking distance to everything. We stayed here as a family of 4 and loved being within 2 minute walk of 2 playgrounds, 5 minutes to another one, 10 minutes to the beach, 20 minutes to another playground. You will not find a better place to stay in Rethymno and the host was amazing. Thank you again for everything. Can't wait to visit again.

There was literally nothing wrong with this apartment but here is a tip to make your stay even more comfortable: Bring earplugs for sleeping if you are a light sleeper. There is a small mezes bar right below the apartment with patrons every night. It doesn't get rowdy but it is busy until late. Most nights you will also hear drunken people walking home in the early morning. Most are respectful but there's always that odd one who has to ruin it. I suspect this is the case anywhere in Old Town with all the bars and restaurants throughout. If you're staying in Old Town, this is what you're signing up for anywhere.

Cette magnifique maison aux dimensions remarquables, parfaitement équipée et idéalement située au coeur de la vieille ville, a été notre plus beau logement durant notre séjour. Lenia et Georges nous ont très chaleureusement accueillis avec des "goodies" de qualité et nous ont même naturellement apporté leur aide avec la gentillesse innée et naturelle que nous avons rencontrée chez tout les Crétois lors de notre voyage. Un grand merci à eux ! Parking situé juste à côté de la maison mais attention au marché le Mercredi.

RIEN, tout était parfait. Nous louerons définitivement à nouveau cette maison si nous retournons un jour à Rethymnon !!!

Beautiful apartment conveniently located in old town, with plenty of shops and restaurants accessible on foot. Air conditioning throughout, very spacious, perfectly clean, comfortable large beds. Very handy to have a washing machine and fully equipped kitchen. We travelled as two couples and it was perfect.

The rooms are not completely dark so bring an eye mask if that bothers you.

Neuwertige Wohnung.

Sehr unpersönlicher Aufenthalt. Weder beim Check-In noch beim Check-Out noch sonst wann gab es ein persönliches Treffen oder ein Telefonat (mit einer telefonischen Ausnahme, siehe weiter unten) mit den Gastgebern/Eigentümern. Ausschließlich Kontakt via Booking und E-Mail seitens der Eigentümer. Die außergewöhnlich steile, über 20 Stufen umfassende und gerade für Kleinkinder oder Ältere sehr schwierige Treppe in der Wohnung. Zudem hatte diese Treppe weder unten noch oben eine Kindersicherung, so dass Kinder in einem unbeaufsichtigten Moment die Treppe runterfallen können. Der Anruf vom Eigentümer (nach ca. der Hälfte unseres Aufenthalts), in dem er sich beschwerte und uns mehrmals Vorwürfe machte, dass wir entgegen seiner Anweisung die Wohnung ca. 15 Min. nach Eintreffen der Reinigungsdame noch nicht verlassen haben, da die Reinigungskraft die Wohnung nur putzt, wenn keiner da ist. Woraufhin sie tatsächlich die Wohnung nicht weiter reinigte und damit die einzige vorgesehene Reinigung in zwei Wochen Aufenthalt entfiel. Die Wohnung ist Tür an Tür zu einem Lokal, wo gerade am Wochenende manchmal bis 04:00/05:00 Uhr morgens sehr fröhlich und lautstark gesungen und musiziert wird. Die Fenster der beiden Schlafzimmer gehen leider nur in Richtung der Gasse auf, wo sich besagtes Lokal befindet. Parken ist nur kostenpflichtig in einem Parkhaus möglich (ca. 10-15 €/Tag).

Από τα καλύτερα καταλύματα που έχουμε επισκεφθεί. Μπαίνοντας στο δωμάτιο αντικρίσαμε έναν εξαιρετικά διακοσμημένο, άνετο χώρο και πεντακάθαρο χώρο , καθώς και ρακί , κρασί και γλυκά για το καλωσόρισμα. Το δωμάτιο παρείχε όλα τα απαραίτητα. Δεν είχαμε κανένα παράπονο. Μείναμε ικανοποιημένοι και με το παραπάνω. Η οικοδέσποινα εξυπηρετική και φιλική. Ολα υπέροχα ευχαριστούμε πολύ !

Die Unterkunft ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und großzügig gestaltet. Sie ist ausgestattet mit drei modernen Bädern, zwei Terrassen und einem Balkon. Phantastisch ist auch die Lage direkt am Eingang zur schönen, lebendigen und verkehrsberuhigten Altstadt. In unmittelbarer Umgebung befinden sich zahlreiche schöne Cafés, Bars, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Auch der Strand ist zu Fuß in ca. 15 min erreichbar.

Nichts - Perfekte Lage für alle, die gerne mitten im Geschehen sind.

This is the most beautiful apartment that we have ever stayed in! We felt like a king and a queen! It is beautifully designed and is so large and spacious and comfortable. What an unbelievable joy! We ate breakfast on the deck and felt like locals! A minaret was right next to the deck! Wow! The location was absolutely perfect with easy walking distance to everything! Oh we wish we could have stayed here longer! Our host Lenia was so very kind and responsive that she felt like family and made us so welcome and at home during our stay.♥️ We cannot say enough good about this wonderful unbelievable experience! Thank you♥️

We have had a fantastic stay in this apartment, it was simply wonderful! Perfect location, silent yet in the middle of the action, large rooms, overall a bohemian location. We loved the apartment and the city, we shall definitely return. Should you travel by car, you need to use the paid parking, there are multiple locations, one of which is very close to the apartment and the price is very good ( we have paid 15 eur for 3 nights in august). We really recommend this location!

There is nothing not to like about it!
