Varenna by Foot (no Taxi / Car needed)

Location! Everything in Veranna was a walking distance. Fantastic communication with the Host. He sent us all informations and recommendations ahead of time. The entire place was beautiful, clean, and prepare for the guest with everything you will need during your stay. Across the street there is fantastic Italian restaurant. Food was delicious and the service really friendly. IF you thinking to visit Lake Como do not think twice and book Veranna by Foot. You can commute from there to other cities, like Bellagio or Como by water taxi. I strongly recommend it and will definately come back.

Everything.. the apartment was clean and airy. It had everything we needed for a family of 5 and all 3 bedrooms were used. There was also another available upstairs. The view was amazing! Access to the property was easy information given to us about the area, the apartment, everything was great! Thankyou

Our host provided extremely detailed guides and videos on how to reach the house, which was appreciated. He also sent pictures and links again the day before arrival to facilitate our reaching the property - which was very simple to reach from the train station even with luggage. It really is only a 5 min walk. The apartment was well stocked with everything we needed and well laid out for all 7 of us to stay. The bathrooms were all nice, new and clean. The rooms were large enough with plenty of room for suitcases with dressers, etc. and sufficient outlets for charging throughout the apartment. The kitchen was big, the table was large enough for us all, etc. The location was also good for reaching the ferry and walking into town. There were plenty of restaurants and places to grab a drink in Varenna and it was more charming than many of the other towns on the lake in our opinion. Our host also provided us with guides to town in advance and was super responsive to all our questions both before and during our stay. He also had good advice for us on our trip. It was much better than any hotel or B&B. We would definitely stay here again - it was absolutely wonderful. 10/10+

Nothing. It was perfect.

The location is perfect to walk to get restaurant and where the ferry is. There was coffee an cookies in the house . The facilities are very good. The host gave us good information about the place.

Regionale train cancellations. Unfortunately it rained whilst there and we encountered train and ferry strikes. The property was clean and well equipped. We arrived on a very wet day and had nowhere to shelter whilst our apartment was being cleaned. One downside to this apartment is the lack of hanging hooks or racks in the bathroom and foyer. We were soaking wet on arrival and no hooks insight to hang our wet gear on arrival. The host Sergio was very helpful and provided us with adequate information to make our stay the more pleasant. Overall Varenna was a beautiful place to visit amidst train, ferry strikes and wet weather.

Conveniently located at the base of Varenna, just a short walk from the ferry and train station, the property met our basic needs. However, it’s clear that any space in this prime location commands a high price, regardless of the unit's condition.

The A/C units were undersized for the rooms, the second-floor bathroom felt outdated, and the host's request for us to dispose of our own garbage seemed unnecessary, especially considering the cleaning fee.
