The beds were good quality, and the furniture in the living room was unique. I can't complain about the location either, as it's fairly close and accessible to the city center.

Sadly, there were a few things I wasn't happy with. First off the location and instructions for finding the flat were not clear, and the welcome message was not up to date (making us believe that someone would be coming to install something during our stay). Secondly, the flat was not very clean. Granted it is an older building, but there were areas which seemed to not have been cleaned in a while. Finally, on our last day, we were contacted to arrange letting an engineer into the flat to address a leak reported by the downstairs neighbour. Understandable that it needs to be addressed, but we weren't comfortable with people coming in whilst we were not there, seeing as we're paying to stay there, so arranged to let the engineer, and had to change plans to accommodate this. Overall, the flat/interactions were disappointing.

Location

I didn't like filling out a lot of paperwork before checking into the room. It was very stressful. I arrived after a long journey with children, I stood near the house late in the evening tired to fill out a lot of paperwork, despite the fact that I did this when booking the room. The room was paid for. They sent me a link that did not open. And they said if I did not do all this by 9 pm my order would be cancelled. I did something late with tired children that could have been done without. I often book rooms on Booking.com, but this was the first time I encountered this. I called the administrator, but she did not pick up the phone, and then wrote to me not to call, because she could not help me with this. I really thought that I had run into scammers. But then I wrote to send me a link to my email again, and after that I was able to fill out the form, attach my documents with bad internet. It was a miracle that I managed to do it, we were already about to go look for a hotel. I was very stressed.

It's a nice cozy place. Has off street parking, a real plus in Edinburgh. The neighborhood is quiet and the location is very good in my opinion. You can walk to Edinburgh Castle, Palace of Holyrood House and more along the Royal Mile and old town. Very close to Cameron Toll shopping. The apartment has a laundry machine. Unfortunately no clothes dryer. The beds are comfortable. The Host is very friendly and accommodating. Top notch! When we return to Edinburgh, we will look to stay with them again.

The decor isn't everybody's cup of tea, but the apartment is comfortable.
