I came to Bali in summer 2025 and stayed at 47 Gang Nuri for 2 months. I came to dance zouk and was searching for a place that was close enough to the dance studios (15/20 minutes by car) but wouldn’t break the bank. (I made this trip when I was 28 years old).I chose this neighborhood because it’s really important for me to walk every morning and this apartment is situated directly next to one of the largest but least developed rice fields in ubud. Every morning, i’d walk for about 30 minutes in the rice field and see practically no one. That in itself is almost unheard of in ubud and was a special part of my experience! Great to recenter while being in nature. The neighborhood itself is quiet and that’s because there is no though traffic because the main road simply ends and turns into a footpath leading into the rice fields. Ketut , her husband, and daughter are amazing hosts, and will go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. I had an emergency at one point and ketut gave me a lot of support. I can really say that she has a strong character and is a caring person in a way that transcends cultural walls.I would recommend you to learn the local language so you can speak more with her ! This place is within walking distance to the yoga barn (15 minutes) but i would recommend taking a taxi because the final stretch to yoga barn is doable but not a comfortable walk. It is a comfortable walk to La Portal, a small cafe where you can take breakfast / lunch , without having to cross the main road. In terms of amenities like food, gym, and cooking. I found it to be a great location. There’s a main grocery store, a gym (the ubud fitness center) all within walking distance. There’s a gas stove with two burners, a fridge on the second floor and a water jug with for you to fill your water bottles. The rooms are not super big but I loved every night the feeling of sitting in the bed and having a view of the rice field and being in a quiet place too.

The views from the room were like an open window to the daily Indonesian life. Really beautiful for the eyes. And also a small distance walk from Yoga Barn and not in the city noisy motorbike chaos

There were roasters crowing during some moments of the night that I could hear even with earplugs. I know it's not the owners fault. But if you are a light sleeper take this into consideration
