JPJPVery peaceful in the forest, and clean. It’s also a good price for the size of the property.
There was absolutely NO service or “omotenashi.” We were very lost in the forest trying to find the house, because it is at an entirely different location than Google Maps indicates. We called and texted the owners more than 3 times in Japanese and English, but never once heard from them during our entire stay. This is very strange and inhospitable. Also, the heater in the bedroom wasn’t working properly so we were freezing and 3 people had to sleep in one twin bed to keep warm. It’s basically unacceptable to ignore your guests their entire stay. Also very strange for Japan which has high standards for service. Only stay here if you expect no service and no support.
JPIt was very beautiful villa in a good location and well equipped with all required kitchen appliances and utensils. The beds and bed sheet was very clean and cozy. The host is very responsive.
There was no insect control inside the villa, there were many big spiders inside the rooms that scared my family many times and we couldn't sleep well during our stay. there were no instructions about how to use facilities like wifi and for everything i needed to send message to host and wait for his response. The property was not recently visited by host and flooring and tables was a dusty. The gas was suddenly disconnected in the first night and we needed to send many messages to host to understand how to fix it and it took some time to be fixed.
