The property is managed by an intermediary who is a coarse character. He wanted spare toilet rolls to be bought by the guest. The hot water system did not work and expected the guest to contact the caretaker of the building who spoke no other language except Spanish. Basically, the intermediary gets the rent and washes his hands of any responsibility.
GB9th floor comfortable modern apartment halfway up in a tall block of 20 floors, on a busy noisy main road in and out of the city . Good facilities for cooking, chilled filtered water machine available for kettle, refill drinking bottles. Nice bedside lights in bedroom, good air-conditioning in both rooms. Shower good in bathroom and bar of soap provided. Nice cool pool up on top floor, but only one sunbed has shade in the morning, and only one sunbed is positioned in the setting sun in the evening. The nearby big shopping mall is only €2 euro away in Uber, and we also found molas restaurant down the road, next to a big supermarket, short walk back with shopping after cheap decent lunch.
Nothing left to make first day easier, no salt, pepper , cooking oil etc. We had to buy our own toilet rolls and kitchen paper after a few days, one bag is provided for rubbish collection, so we bought more and left for the next guest. We washed our towels after a few days, and changed the bed sheets. The sofabed was not as comfortable as a lounge for watching the TV in the evening. No local TV channels, just YouTube or netflix, the outdoor balcony has nice sunshine for breakfast in the morning, but it's gone by lunchtime or the evening, The city traffic noise is unpleasant if you like to relax with a bit of peace and quiet with the window open. Check out is a very strict 10am, we left bags in reception, at 9.30, but got lots of calls, messages at 10.15 whilst waiting for taxi to come.
