"атмосферно"

10.0

"Peaceful views and great local family."

9.0

Everything is amazing. Short walk from town centre. I enjoyed perfect views and felt local life near me. Staff is great.(A daughter in this family is a manager and she can speak English .It’s family owned guesthouse.) Local cuisine is very nice as well.(it costs but it worth!!)

A bit cold inside the room even in May. But it’s Caucasus. I advise you to bring warm enough clothes when you travel around this area.

"Babi & Tata's House is a great place to stay in Ushguli!"

10.0

We stayed at Babi & Tata's House with a group of friends for a skitouring trip and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect – you can literally start your ascent right from the house and finish the day with an amazing ski descent back to the door. There are plenty of options for shorter and longer tours. The hospitality of the owners was outstanding. They were always very friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was spectacular, with delicious, typical Georgian cuisine that you simply cannot miss. The accommodation met our expectations – exactly what a group of friends needs at this price point. Overall, the whole experience was really great and we would happily come back one day.

"Supert opphold! Hyggelig verter ❤️"

10.0

Veldig hyggelige verter.

"Very Good"

7.0

Rooms are new and bright. The matress was Ok. The heater at full power and fan managed to warm up the room. There were two chairs in the room.

When I arrived at half past one, my room wasn't ready yet ( check-inn time is starting from two ). I was politely asked to wait. Without any commentary, I was given a different room. I was asked if I wanted breakfast; as my plans for the morning weren't sure, I said I didn't know yet and would come back to them later. I didn't want dinner because I had only half a day and wanted to watch the sunset beside the church in upper Ushguli. When I came back at around nine p.m. nobody was available anymore. I got up at seven and tried to order breakfast, but there was noone around. About an hour later, I met the (?) mother who said: 'Dinner??'. I tried to make myself understood that I wanted to talk to one of the girls, because I had a very long day ahead trying to get walking and hitchhiking to Zeshko ( about 30 km away) and beyond. I went back to my room and waited but nothing happened. So I went to the older lady and paid. She was clearly not happy I hadn't consumed anything, and just said 'kargad'(good). I would have loved to start my strenuous day with a hearty potatoe breakfast, but.. The menu is ( like with many places in Ushguli ) very much overpriced. A tea is - if I remember right - seven Lari. They put away the watercooker so that nobody could make their own. A beer is 10 Lari, and not even written down on the menu. I bought one in the same village at Agra restaurant for seven. There is no heating in the bathroom, so in combination with the very cold and often wet floor - as there is like in many places no curtain or barrier for the shower - it makes it unpleasant. There was no soap in one of the two bathrooms and only a tiny rest of toilet paper of the absolute cheapest sort in the other. I know it is only 35 Lari, but I got a twinbedroom for the same price with private bathroom (and heating in it ) in Mestia. And the owner invited me to free coffee, yoghurt and fresh homemade cake for free. So compare...
