The 19th Golf Lodge

Everything ! Spacious, comfortable, classic Irish atmosphere. Wonderful attention to detail combining the best of old and new amenities. Quality Killarney wool blankets and Irish linen along with modern power shower. Beautiful architecture. Hospitality a solid 11 out of 10 ! James & Mary are simply fantastic hosts. We arrived late at night on motorcycles. James was very welcoming and gave us a place to park the bikes. He brought us up to the room and arranged a taxi into town. James and Mary were there in the morning serving a great breakfast consisting of locally sourced ingredients and making sure we had enjoyed our stay. This perfectly set us up for another long day of adventure. We felt like family. Did not want to leave. We can’t wait to come back ! Superb!

Mary and James are two amazing hosts in Ballybunion, Co. Kerry, Ireland. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and we loved every minute. The bed is super comfy and breakfast is fantastic. Don't miss this gem if you are in the area.

Beautiful house, clean, comfortable , wonderful staff who could not do enough for you. Breakfast was top class , you could not ask for anything more. James & Mary are lovely people who go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need.

Me and my wife came to spent a day on a beach, The best place we found to stay is the ''19th Golf Lodge'' under James and Mary management, They are doing this 39 years and it is still perfect. We have lovely room and brilliant breakfast in the morning, Highly recommended this place to stay.

Breakfast was superb, really fresh hot & delicious with excellent choice available. Room was enormous as was the ensuite with bonus spa bath and everything spotless and so comfortable with fast internet access. Welcome was so warm it felt like visiting family.

Nothing as everything was perfect. Highly recommend staying with Mary & James as they were so welcoming and nothing was a bother. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will love to return on our next visit home from Australia.

Mary and James were so focused on giving me the best hospitality, much more than I have ever experienced in any hotel. I stayed for 4 nights on my own and felt at ease and had my coffee in their lovely lounge area with books provided and in the seating area outside . The rooms are bigger than usual and my room was lovely to relax in with a view of the golf course and everything I needed including an extra large comfy bed and a couch and 2 velvet armchairs and table at a large window which was my favourite spot. It felt airy and spacious, Also a generous en suite with a bath and shower. It was really peaceful at night and I could have a lie in and enjoy the quiet in the mornings. Then go to the lovely dining room for a choice of hot breakfasts to choose from the menu or tasty scones and buffet with the focus on homemade. Because there are 14 bedrooms it is not full of people or banging doors which I loved. I loved Mary and James genuinely wanting everything to be right and always interested in stopping to chat and knowing everyone's name. I was sorry to leave but will definitely be back.

The location of the hotel is very easy, the atmosphere is wonderful and cosy, a place of incredible peace and tranquillity.
