Sehr schön renovierte Wohnung in einer schönen Stadt. Es riecht wunderbar nach Holz, alles ist sehr erlesen ausgewählt. Die Badewanne befüllt sich automatisch :D Sehr gute Matratzen. Der Gastgeber ist voll nett. Er bietet an, Kalligrafie oder Buddhistischen Morningchant mit ihm im nebenan liegenden Tempel zu probieren. Ein schöner Aufenthalt!

I agree with all of the reviews about the level of aesthetic details at this place. Everything is immaculately cared for including the garden which was so peaceful to gaze at while enjoying my meals. It’s a block away from the samurai houses and there’s a place that has bike rentals at the cafe nearby. If you come by bus it will drop you at the visitors center which is about a 17 min walk to his place. Fortunately I saw the other reviews about the Buddhist temple chanting and calligraphy experience and had a chance to do this on my second morning. I was deeply moved by this experience of the culture and am so appreciative to the host.

Locating the entrance was tricky- you have to go through the parking lot and find the small path on the left of the cemetery that leads to the door of the guesthouse.

We spent two wonderful nights in this truly special place, located inside a Buddhist temple – a unique and evocative experience. The apartment we stayed in is modern Japanese style, tastefully decorated with great attention to detail. The view over the garden was enchanting, and everything was spotlessly clean and well cared for. Communication with the host was easy thanks to Google Translate (or a similar app), and he was always courteous and helpful. We arrived during a heavy rainstorm, earlier than the check-in time, but we were warmly welcomed with a cup of tea. Because of the weather, we couldn’t go out on the first day, but we had the chance to take a calligraphy class with the host. It was a beautiful experience, and we brought home two small artworks as a souvenir. An unforgettable stay that we highly recommend to anyone looking for peace, beauty, and authenticity. Grazie

Everything was great except the chilly walk down the hall to the toilet at night. This was due to the freezing weather outside. This was an amazing bargain for the quality of the accommodations. It is in an easy location with a grocery store one block away, laundromat next door, the bus stop, 7-11 and taxi stand are only three blocks away. Short walk to the Hagi Museum and historical housing district. The young host is easily available!

This property is a must stay. The gardens and interior were stunning and clean. Our host was very kind and attentive. Everything felt brand new - we wished we were staying longer. The beds were exceptionally comfortable
