Gypsy Wagons, Old Kommetjie incl Hottub

I loved the camping wagons, very unique and lovely. The hot tub was wood fired and heated for our arrival, really Hot! The property was walking distance from beach and restaurants, coffee, and had a light house walk. We saw a family of otters in the ocean. It was close to the cape of good hope and we drove a day trip, and came back by Simons town which was lovely! I tried cooking on the Brii , for the experience but had a challenging time.

We should have stayed longer, it was a perfect distance for visiting capetown and the surrounding area. The hot water did not work the first night but it was fixed the next day. The hostess was lovely, and helpful, and easy to comminucate with. Thank you.

The setting was really cool and we loved the wagons and the hot tub. The kids and the baby had a jol. It is super close to the beach and we went for many walks exploring. The host was really friendly and accomadating and we could check in earlier. We were also offered an extra room inside to accomadate the baby if need be. It was a perfect break away and exactly what we needed. We will Def be back!! Thank you

The village was an amazing experience for us and our girls loved it❤️. Awesome location, hot-tub was a special treat…, stone throw away from the beach, definitely worth it, we can’t wait to come back

Not a thing

I loved it that there were no keys to collect. If you want to lock up it’s all possible. But the sense of trust and freedom is worth a lot.

Our host was friendly and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. The highlight was the hot water tub—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is excellent, just a short walk from beautiful beaches and mountain trails. The surrounding community is warm and welcoming, adding to the overall charm. If you’re looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway with a touch of magic, this is the perfect spot! Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation. The beautiful beaches were just a minute away, and there are many stunning sights within a short one-hour drive. The neighborhood felt very safe and peaceful, and Sonette went above and beyond to make sure we felt right at home.

Reception and authenticity Our experience at The Gypsy Life exceeded our expectations. We were attracted by its originality, cozy style and high guest ratings. But what we found was even better. We found everything beautiful and welcoming. The hostess Sonette is a sweetheart. She welcomed us with great care and affection. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Cape Town.

My wife fell off the stairs. A railing would be helpful.
