Landmark Resort Courtyard View - Unit 1408

Location

Eagle Rentals manages unit #1408 in Landmark Resort, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I rented this unit through Booking.com but it’s also available on Airbnb, Agoda, Coastalguide.com, etc. I stayed here at the end of Aug 2025 and was horrified. The pictures posted by Eagle Rentals do not reflect the true condition of this unit based on my personal experience. The room was very dirty. The linen appeared to have stains. The bathtub has black along the edges of it, the bathroom paint is chipping, the ceiling of the room has water damage & stains. I wish I would have done better research prior to renting this unit. I noticed reviews left a month earlier with similar complaints for this specific unit (reference: booking.com and Airbnb). I would have never rented the unit if I knew the true condition of the room. I feel deceived. We decided to leave a day early & forfeit the money we paid for the final night. Please see the pictures attached.

The room and bed was comfortable enough. There was enough space for the 4 of us. I liked that we didn't have to keep up with room keys. The code worked mostly on the 1st try.

Ok, so I know this is no reflection of Landmark Resort, but there are some things that need to be improved about the unit itself. Eagle Beach Rentals need to pay attention to this! And that brings up my 1st point. I did not know this was a 3rd party rental and was not maintained by Landmark. Folks need to know that up front. The warnings about the towels were OUTRAGEOUS! I mean $20 each for a small cheap towel? 2 of which were pool towels that is provided by the resort in the pool area! And $10 each for cheap hand towels and wash cloths? I dared not touch them! I went to WalMart and bought my own and then brought them home with me! The swim passes fell apart once they got wet. They even wanted to charge $10 for that and they were only cheaply laminated paper! Give me a break! The carpet could use a good cleaning or even replacement. I walked around in white socks and they ended up being filthy. Somehow, on the 14th floor, there was water damage on the ceiling. How? And the popcorn ceiling was falling down in some places. The small refrigerator was dirty like someone spilled something in it and was never cleaned up. The freezer part also needs to be defrosted. The sink was small and was missing the stopper. They wanted you to wash any dishes that you used but with what? There were no kitchen towels provided. The patio door was dirty and hadn't been cleaned in a while. Some of the linen had spots on them but I think they were permanent. The shower curtain had mold on it and needs to be replaced and parts of the bathtub as well had mold. Like I said Eagle Beach Rentals needs to give this unit some attention and make some small improvements. And the people that they have to come in to clean the place need to do a better job also.

none. location was great to all amenities. we had a vacume to use and a coffeemaker to use, with basic kitchen supplies.

It was quiet no loud music

I thought we had a spa tub in the room and I thought we had seaview like it said v

Hotel staff (some) was friendly.

The first 3 nights was hell . College students partying all night outside our door and in the hall . The 3rd morning went to leave for breakfast and there was vomit all over our door on the lock ,handle ,floor every where in the hall . Told hotel front desk it was cleaned. No number to contact for problems. Arm bands couldn’t use because could not be put on , they were not to be altered. Hotel would not serve us in restaurant or outside bar or coffee shop without one .
