Cozy Place by IDC at Horizon 101 Cebu City

Location.

Bathroom was dangerous. Hand basin was located directly below and within 18-24 inches of the cabinet above. So to wash face, clean teeth, etc you had to fit your head directly under the cabinet above the basin - the cabinet had VERY sharp edges and an extremely pointedB corner both of which could cause severe damage to your skull if you moved your head even slightly upward. Extremely poor design. The shower alcove had hot water but only from the shower head - the tap at the bottom of the shower was rusted shut. There was no hot water plumbed anywhere else in the unit. The temperature in the shower could only be adjusted by a taller person and not by a typical filipino woman (my partner). There was NO toilet paper when we arrived and no facility to even make coffee (no hot water and no suitable containers for boiling water). We purchased toilet paper and a kettle jug as our first item of business. The queen size bed only had 3 legs!!! The 4th leg was missing (presumably broken) and replaced by a pile of books! Needless to say the bed was not particularly stable. Even though we re-tuned the television the reception made it unviewable. The wifi was extremely poor (unusable) and we had to use data on my phone provided through my Australian telecommunications supplier. There were also issues attributable to Horizon 101 management ... There are 4 elevators servicing the tower's 46 floors. During our stay of 3 weeks two of the four elevators were not operational for more than 50% of the time resulting in long wait times to catch a lift. The pool was also closed for maintenance for more than half our stay - we had no warning of this. We have stayed at Horizon 101 3 times now (it is close to a condo we own that is used by my partner's family) in different units and each of the units has been sub-standard although this one was the worst. We have now decided that we will no longer use Horizon 101 for any future visits.
