Sea Point Open, Large & Romantic 1 Bed Apt

Everything was perfect !!! It was clean and well organised. The bed is really comfortable and the terrace, with the view of the ocean, is amazing ! The little plus : a bottle of wine on the table!

​I am writing to formally request a full refund for my recent stay  The property was significantly misrepresented, unsanitary, and physically dangerous. ​The most critical issues include: ​Material Breach of Description: The listing explicitly advertised a kitchen sink. No such facility exists. I was forced to wash dishes in the bathroom basin where I brush my teeth, which is a blatant misrepresentation and a hygiene violation. ​Structural & Plumbing Failures: The toilet was not secured to the floor, making it incredibly unstable and a safety risk. Furthermore, it failed to flush properly throughout the duration of the stay. ​Health & Sanitation Hazards: Upon arrival, I discovered black mould on the pillowcase. The air conditioning unit was inefficient due to heavily clogged, filthy filters, and the "kitchen" surface consisted of untreated, unhygienic wood. ​Safety Violations: The outdoor deck is a minefield of exposed screws posing a severe risk to guests. Additionally, a provided wine opener snapped during normal use, causing a physical injury to my finger. ​General Neglect: The property was filthy, with thick dust on cupboards and an ashtray full of old cigarettes. Basic promised amenities, such as a working TV and napkins/serviettes, were not provided. ​This property fails to meet basic hospitality and safety standards. It appears the hosts are leveraging high local demand to charge a premium for a product that is both amateur and hazardous. ​I have documented these issues with photographs and expect a full refund of the booking total due to the property being "not as described" and unsafe for habitation. ​I look forward to your prompt resolution of this matter.

Lovely view, and superb balcony where we had lovely sundowners and late night coffees.

We were there on two very hot days (40°C). The aircon had trouble cooling the loft. I'd recommend to Dave that he switch the aircon on quite early in case the weather is looking warm, although we noted that these were exceptionally hot days.
