Suites & Spa - XO

Our stay in Riad XO was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location was fantastic, just on the outskirts of the souks and about a 15 minute walk into the main square. The decor, especially in the communal areas like the entrance corridor, reception, the courtyard and the pool and dining area were beautiful, and the smell of orange blossom everywhere in the hotel was divine. The staff, including Thierry and Outman on reception and others like Taoufik and Mehdi were really friendly and really attentive and we had really good chats and laughs with them. They couldn't do enough to help. Even when we were out of the villa, they were just a whatsapp away and helped us out with a problem with the YSL gardens where I booked the wrong day. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I could talk about the Riad and staff for days as we loved our stay so much and can't wait to go back!

More hangers and storage space, perhaps more of the coat hooks they have, would be useful. The pressure of the shower was weak and the hottub wasn't working, but they were very apologetic for this and explained the situation with the electricity and heating etc. I do think this could be communicated before guests arrive (the hottub at least.) A sofa or some chairs on the sunny side of the riad on the top level would be good too, later on in the day, for the sun worshippers among us who like to have a read in the sun after a busy day in the souks :-) However these issues didn't affect our stay as the good things about Riad XO far any niggles when you are there. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone staying in Marrakech.

Bathrooms are a bit small.
