Nikiana Club - Studio 2

Sin duda la ubicación, frente a una franja de playa más que suficiente para tomar el sol y darse unos maravillosos baños en un mar totalmente transparente y tranquilo. Podías despertarte, salir de la habitacion, cruzar la zona de tumbonas del alojamiento y en menos de 1 min estabas en el mar. El balcón a pie de calle, o de mar, mejor dicho, era fantástico para desayunar o tomar algo admirando las vistas El ambiente era muy familiar. Estaba a dos minutos de la carretera de la costa que atravesaba el pueblo y que configuraba al mismo tiempo la calle principal del mismo. Cerca de tiendas, cafeterías, supermercados y bares-restaurantes, algunos de ellos disponían de tumbonas y un pedazo de playa donde tomar algo en una de sus tumbonas El alojamiento disponía de una pequeña piscina con ducha y un bar-restaurante donde se servían bebidas y comidas en formato buffet para los huéspedes. A las noches encendían la parrilla exterior para cocinar las carnes y pescados del buffet. La habitación, al igual que las instalaciones se veian viejas, se notaba que tenían ya unas décadas. Disponía de una cocina con nevera y fregadero y escasos útiles para cocinar. Disponía de aire acondicionado y TV. La cama no era especialmente comoda El baño en la misma linea, necesitaba una reforma. Disponía de plato de ducha con el único cerramiento de una cortina de baño. Todo funcionaba pero se veía viejo. Aún así, teniendo en cuenta los precios que pudimos encontrar en el mes de Agosto nos pareció buena opción teniendo en cuenta que íbamos a estar una sola noche Las empleadas del bar eran muy simpáticas y agradables, al igual que los monitores de vela y kayak los cuales tenías la posibilidad de alquilar. Mavra, la encargada del alojamiento también era muy agradable, nos avisó de cual era el mejor sitio para aparcar el coche, avisándonos de los lugares donde la policía ponía multas, pudimos comprobar que era así y estaba en lo cierto.

Se nota que tuvo un mejor pasado y actualmente necesitaría una reforma integral que incluyera no solo las habitaciones sino toda la parte exterior y las instalaciones ya que la ubicación es francamente buena en primera linea de costa. De no realizarla creo que hay otras opciones mejores, aunque más caras, en los alrededores sobre todo para el tipo de estancias largas que parece lo más común en la zona.

Only location

There were 12 of us vacationing this year in Nikiana, Lefkada. Six of us stayed at the Nikiana Beach Club in three studios (1, 4, and 5) in Simos House from September 1st to September 15th, 2024. We had one extra night paid for, but we decided to leave a day earlier. The rest of the group stayed five minutes away from us in other, cheaper, and much better accommodation units. At first glance, Nikiana Beach Club looks perfect from the outside. The location is indeed great, and two out of our three apartments had a sea view, with the beach just a few steps away. However, that's where the positives end regarding this accommodation. I could overlook the extremely small size of the apartments and the lack of basic items such as plates, cutlery, kitchenware, a kettle, or even a hairdryer. We had to gather items from all three apartments and swap them among ourselves. I don't even mind that everything is old and in desperate need of renovation, but the fact that everything was dirty and that my apartment smelled so strongly of sewage is something I cannot forget. Under the bed, we found men's slippers and toys left behind by previous guests, and the floor hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long. Had they mopped under the bed, they would have found those items. Towels and linens were supposed to be changed every three days but were only changed twice in two weeks (and both times after we insisted). The third time, they were changed on their own initiative the day before our departure on September 14th. Since the smell in my studio (Studio 5) was unbearable, we complained to our host, Mavra. As a result, a septic tank truck came three days in a row to empty the tank, which temporarily resolved the odor issue. However, in the last few days, the smell returned, likely because the septic tank had filled up again. The water pressure was quite weak, and there was often no hot water, even though all three studios were on the ground floor.
