The location, nice family that run it parking was ok for us must of hit it at the right time of day bed comfy apart from the electric blanket controls I think it stuck in my partners back has he sleeps near end of bed due to the pains he gets friendly local pub and good access to takeaways and town oh and the pool table 😀

The 4 flights of stairs to all the rooms has all on 1 level, would of liked a kettle etc even though there was a shared kitchen the fridge was nosey and didn't see the point with no tea making facilities and having to take shoes of and last of all thr kitchen sink was blocked due to someone cooking eggs and emptying oil down sink I'm guessing ,my partner tried unblocking it has we only had cereal me personally would put a empty oil bottle and funnel in kitchen so ppl can pour the oil into the bottle before washing frying pan up

"It was a lovely but could have been better"

8.0

The location was good as it gave me access to the city centre and in close proximity to the places I needed to visit. The breakfast options were great as I had a variety of cereals as well as other things to choose from.

When I arrived the host wasn’t around to receive me, the room wasn’t ready when I arrived and the lounge didn’t meet my expectations. It was untidy and unkempt.

"Pleasant option"

8.0

Located around 20 minutes walking from city center. I decided to walk so I observe the neighbourhood. Need to be extremely cautious, you may lose the exact spot due to awkward numbering in the area. There is a social club really close and that was how I knew the premises were somewhere there. Interesting building and room. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Room was pleasant and the kitchen facility and bath were on the same floor. Breakfast included eggs, cereals and spreads, so it was really good. There was an extra small fridge in the room, for my own food, in addition to my own space in the kitchen.

It's kind of awkward numbering around and took sometime to find the premises. My phone stopped working, the time I had to call the owner but it worked in the end. Mattress was not my type (I have back pain and it was not helpful at all..). Some guests were extremely noisy, some of the days, but of course this is what happens regularly in a shared accommodation.

"Good value comfortable accommodation"

7.0

Simon and Catherine, the hosts, were very welcoming. They are lovingly restoring this victorian property and you can see their pride in the project. A free breakfast was provided with a good selection of bread, eggs, cereals and spreads. There was a well appointed communal kitchen just across the landing from our room. Our room was clean and comfortable.

There was a slight problem with the sink in the kitchen in that it took a long time to drain. Parking is free on the street outside. This can be variable, the first night I managed to get a space just outside the property but on the second night I to park some distance away.
