Modern 2 BD w Garden in the Heart of Tetbury

The house is lovely, tidy and well located. The kitchen has all the necessary for cooking , the rooms and house in general are very tidy, clean and the location is very quiet and good. Only a nespresso or Dolcegusto Coffee Maker can improve the kitchenware.

You can not watch TV except with Chromecast. If you travel from abroad you can not use your Netflix, AppleTV, PrimeTV etc, apps because you have to connect to the house Wifi and the platforms do not work properly. So for Abroad travellers is like not having a TV.

This house was spacious and clean. It had everything we needed for our stay.

Nothing to complain about

The location of this property is fantastic for easy access to Tetbury. The Main Street with shops and restaurants is only a few minutes walk away.

A couple more seats in the lounge area would be useful if there were 4 people in the property.

The cleanliness let it down with the bathroom and downstairs toilet not meeting expectations. The bedroom mirror was dirty- maybe a difficult design to keep clean. No bedside cabinet on one side and no bedside lamps. Request for a deposit, despite this not being on booking.com and advise not to click on the unavailable link.

It was a lovely home with everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were really helpful and responded quickly to our messages.

The house was clean and comfortable with good quality furniture and the kitchen facilities were excellent. The location was ideal for walking in to Tetbury

A refundable deposit for breakages was requested by card payment. This contravenes the booking site’s privacy and security policy as it states the deposit is to be paid by cash on arrival. Customer service were very helpful and advised us not to pay by card. There is no television. To watch programmes on the monitor provided you have to use your smartphone or iPad and cast the program. Very difficult if you do not subscribe to the relevant apps. The underfloor heating is non functional and it was cold in the evenings without this.

We have stayed in a number of properties in this general area over the past year. This one was head and shoulders above the rest. Very beautifully fitted and decorated, with everything we could possibly need. In summer the little terrace out the back would be lovely. It was very quiet too. Charming.

Having being so taken with the property, it is a pity to have to report that the heating was inadequate. The upstairs system was set to a maximum of 16. It varied between 13 and 16. The downstairs, while partially heated by the radiator system already mentioned, was covered by a separate underfloor heating system. This did not work at all. The dial was blank, the switch to it non-functioning. My daughter used the word 'frigid' as we shivered over breakfast both mornings. We kept our coats on indoors at a few points. I texted the phone number given for referral but got no reply. Also, and here just trying to give a helpful hint: we had trouble on arrival in the dark identifying the property. The numbers on the street are in an unconventional order. We resorted to knocking on the door of a nearby house. The number, 24, is visible on the door, though greyish coloured and not facing the road, nor visible in the dark. It would be helpful to have a number on the front post.
