I really like this hotel as location is perfect for me , just 300m plus to gurney plaza walking distance The hotel room is small, but not a big deal as I very comfortable with the provided facilities. Room very clean and the housekeeping staff is helpful with my additional requirements even in the mid night I was not expecting very fast response from the host and the housekeeping staff as this hotel is applying self check in method but thanks to host offer a big help

桌子很小，然后床上还有毛发的痕迹，感觉没换过床单。厕所一进去感觉恐怖，墙壁很多洞，马桶盖黄黄的，还有一个股很臭的味道。不会再回来

Very small room, no accomodations - tv, kettle inside room. Dirty towel, bed sheets n pillow. Unpleasant odor when entering the room, it came from toilet- no fresh air circulation. Toilet with dirty floor- can found black mold on the floor, wall, sinki n bowl.

The location is strategic and convenient along Gurney Drive, the service quality is extremely poor. There was no visible ground staff or front desk staff at all only a self check-in system. The only staff member I encountered was a housekeeping lady before check in, along with phone-based customer service. There was no one physically available to assist guests when help was needed.

The hotel’s policy on early check-in is very misleading. They state that “early check-in before 3:00 PM is strictly subject to availability,” yet even when rooms were clearly available, early check-in was still denied. The self check-in details were only provided at 2:50 PM, which added to the frustration. This felt more like an excuse than a genuine availability issue. If early check-in is not allowed, should be honest about it instead of giving guests false or empty hope. My family and I (three adults and two young children) arrived in Penang at 5:00 AM and completed our planned activities earlier than expected. After seeing that early check-in was subject to availability, I contacted customer service to request early check-in so my family could rest earlier and prepare for an early checkout at 7:00 AM the next day. Instead, we were made to wait from 12:00 PM onward and eventually had spend three hours waiting outside 184 Gurney Drive and 7-Eleven next door before we were finally able to check in at 2:50 PM. This was my first experience of what they call “early check-in” during my last min Penang trip. In addition, I saw amenities during booking but after check-in only 1 roll of toilet paper without other amenities such as Shampoo, Shower Gel, Tooth brush, toothpaste and etc, end up I need to buy for my family members.
