Cabanyal Room 3 - Small & Stylish by the Beach

Very clean and modern room with a comfy bed and lovely bathroom. Personally I found the location to be excellent - it’s a great neighbourhood which doesn’t feel too touristy and has loads of restaurants around + is a 10 min walk to the beach and a 10 min metro or 45 min walk (through the park) into town

Slightly inconvenient stove top set up but such a good area to eat out anyway it’s not a big deal

As soon as we arrived, we headed to the property because in the host’s message it said that from 11:30 AM we could pick up the key to leave our luggage and then return at 4 PM for check-in. On the morning of our arrival, I called the host to make sure we could actually leave the luggage, and he confirmed it. When we got to the property at 11:30 AM, the keys were missing (the previous guests had left them inside the room instead of the designated lockbox), so I called the host, who responded with a rather annoyed attitude and told me he would check with the cleaning service. He called me back at 12:00 PM saying his partner would bring the keys within the next twenty minutes. Twenty minutes passed and no one had arrived with the keys. After 45 minutes of waiting, at 12:45 PM I called the host again, asking if anyone was actually going to bring us the keys, as it had been over an hour since we got to the property. Had we known we’d have to wait this long, we would have organized things differently. The answer I received was extremely rude and completely unprofessional. The host started telling me that he was doing me a favor and that leaving our luggage wasn’t an included service (when in fact it is, as stated in the automatic message sent by the property). He then told me I should just keep waiting without asking more questions and hung up on me abruptly after I asked, for the umpteenth time, whether someone was actually going to show up with the keys. His partner finally arrived at 1:15 PM. Definitely not a great way to start our vacation.

It had very good facilities, including TV, iron, hairdryer a kitchenette, washing machine in a discrete cupboard next to the room, which also contained an ironing board and vacuum mop& broom. The bed was very comfortable. It was quite and about 10 mins walk to the beach. There was another discrete cupboard that had beach umbrellas and chairs. The metro was also about 10mins walk, easy to get to the city. The local supermarket was a 5mins walk away and it was extremely reasonable, reminded be of Lidl, with its own bakery and it had everything needed on the days we catered for ourselves. Would definitely stay there again.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like.

It was nice.

Its very close to the beach, metro, mercadona And we were literally in the middle of Semana Santa celebrations (we could see them passing by from our window). Easy key Pick up and checkout. Smart solutions to keep small space be as functional as possible. Access from the street- with little ramp: easy when travelling with stroller or wheelchair.

The wall between apartments is pretty thin so one night when the neighbours girls were loud we all had to wear earplugs to be able to sleep

Very compact and comfortable apartment. We were family of 4 (kids 8 and 4 yo) and it was a pleasent stay for us. Very clean and has everything you’ll need. Comfortable beds, very good WiFi, plenty kitchen utensils, Nespresso coffee machine, good microwave, toaster, kettler. Direct metro line (L5) from the airport and for the city center you have bus/metro/tram - you choose. Supermarket, bakery, coffee shops and cafe/reataurant are walking distance (3-5min).
