3 Bedroom Lodge SG2, Lower Hyde, Isle of Wight

Very clean,comfortable, and spacious

Could do with small sharp knife.

Location was good. No access to the sites facilities unless we paid on top of that we had already paid.

The door lock was very wobbly, and not secure. The hoover had no pipe. The ovens shelves did not fit correctly ( clearly not the originals) which meant that we could only cook on the bottom of the oven. This resulted in 2 family members burning their knuckles! We were left 1 black bag with holes in it to pack up bedding ( as requested by occupiers) which we then had to buy ourselves! There was no room in the master bedroom or double bedroom for a travel cot! Accommodation was not overly clean

Spacious

Outside Deck / Balcony ,lots of lots of Spider Web/Cobweb and Spiders . There was also Spider in the bedrooms. There Balcony appears not to have been cleaned for a very long time and dirty with birds excreta.

Outside decking requires some painting

A quiet part of the site which worked for us. Good space to entertain two young children. Practical 'did what it said on the tin'. Useful to have washing up liquid and a couple of dishwasher tables plus pint of milk in fridge (though not used). Useful to have Co-op and Lidl in walking distance. Kids enjoyed the time in the outdoor pool and small arcade.

Several drawers broken, oven not cleaned, just one small hand towel in each bathroom and one tea towel seemed odd (better to advise to bring your own?). Overtly 'bossy' on messages and notes regarding instructions to clean up and sort all beds before leaving (tried to consider that perhaps others don't clear up as we do...). Never been asked to strip all beds before we left before. Conflicting guidance on outdoor pool at the pool - we worked it out but it was also odd.

Beautiful quiet area of lower Hyde surrounded by trees, but within a one minute walking distance to club and pool.

Shop facilities poor and very expensive.

This lodge exceeded all of our expectations. The location of the lodge in the park is great, secluded and away from masses of public. The size of it was incredible. We were 5 adults and one child and we all had full size beds and with the two bathrooms made living so much more comfortable. The kitchen living dining open plan was so spacious. We could not have asked for anything else.
