The Beeches - Chatsworth Apartment No 1 - Sleeps 2

Great location in Baslow. Very close to Chatsworth and Bakewell. Nice pub across the road and in the village. Apartment is warm and cosy. Nice sitting room overlooking the garden at the front. It is set back from the road and you cannot hear the traffic in the Apartment. Pretty bedroom. Comfy bed. Large bathroom and good shower.

The bathroom was a bit cool because of the old single windows and condensation, and these could definitely be improved with new double glazed ones. Also the fan was on all the time the light was on which was slightly annoying. It would be better if it just came on with the shower or could be switched on or off.

The property is beautiful and well situated. The design is lovely. It’s spacious and jt is clean and comfortable

There are things in an apartment like kitchen roll and basic cleaning items like spray for the kitchen that are missing. If this was a hotel you wouldn’t need it as someone else would do this. But it’s not so you are forced to spend more money making a hotel a more economical choice. That or live in a dirty kitchen and bathroom. Luckily there is a bath but the valve for the shower was broken. This changed the dynamic of the property. I ended up going to a friends to shower as baths are not for me. I specifically picked this property as it has a shower. It was very disappointing to only receive an apology (rather than any form of compensation) after an engineer was sent out and wasnt able to fix. The clock in the bedroom had stopped and I personally replaced the batteries in the tv remote. The attention to detail when it comes to usability wasn’t the highest in my opinion. That said these are all very minor issues that can be corrected and it would deter me from staying again if they were sorted.

Very comfortable and clean Not far from Chatsworth where we spent 2 days .

There was nothing to dislike .

Baslow is a good base for walking in the Peak District. The property was centrally location close to facilities, restaurants and footpaths.

TV took some understanding. No terrestrial channels. All accessed via apps.

Tea/coffee left for us, but we took our own breakfasts for the few days. The bed was comfortable and lounge and kitchen facilities were great. Great location for exploring the local area.
