Capital Suite on 6th Street - King Bed / Downtown!

I have a long list of no’s: the first one is definitely the buzzing noise in the bedroom coming from the the light/fan in the ceiling. It was so strong that at 1 o’clock in the night we went to sleep on the couch in the living room. It was driving me crazy. The apt isn’t as new as shown in the photos, it could be ok for two young people looking for a cheap place, even though the place wasn’t cheap at all. We booked for two nights but we left after the first one. After an intense email exchange with the agency/property, nice people by the way, there was no way for us to get a refund either.

I did not go in to the place. Weeds were overgrown everywhere. The photos were completely different from the actual place. It was dark and there were no lights on anywhere! I pulled out of the parking lot and didn't look back. I've traveled the world and never had such a bad feeling about somewhere! The cost is nonrefundable and I also had to pay a security deposit of $100.00. I hope that is refunded-it's unfortunate that they won't refund all of it!!

The bed was quite comfortable and big enough to get lost in. The building was quiet. The apartment had several locks. I didn't use the kitchen or laundry, but everything was clean and in good order. The shower is tricky - definitely watch the video on how to get the water flowing. It's easy, but not intuitive. There was plenty of parking. Not a luxury building, but safe and convenient.

There were paint drips on the shower enclosure. That's it. Otherwise, it was good.

Location was excellent, we made our own breakfast in the full kitchen..seemed to be a very safe location

I loved how they decorated! The colors were calming. I'm not usually one for abstract or modern, but this had a very good vibe where the interior decoration was concerned. The cleaning lady got there early and helped me with my bags, and my communication with management was excellent!

The address on the booking page was listed as a North, but it was a South address. The exterior of the building looked abandoned, and the hallway to the apartment didn't feel very safe. My concerns were acknowledged quickly and fairly and I would stay with the Thrive management company again!

This lodging was very well equipped. I had everything I needed including Wash your dryer, ironing board and iron, Good wifi, Coffee maker, etc. They were very accommodating when I needed to arrange a late check out. The king bed was very comfortable.

There is only one thing that I would have changed. It was hard to regulate the temp. The floors were cold. The window in the living room was drafty. I am pretty flexible so I managed using the space heaters provided and wearing double socks and my hoodie. I think this would be more comfortable for a stay during the summer than during the late winter.
