Could hear other guests walking around upstairs apartment due to floorboards. Needs more soundproofing to prevent this.

The location was great for our needs. We were a short drive to Acadia and walking distance to most activities in downtown Bar Harbor. The accommodations were appointed with everything needed for a long weekend stay.

You can hear footsteps from the upstairs unit. Not a problem if everyone is on the same schedule (morning routine).

Location could not be beat. It was a short walk to everything.

The screen door to the back patio seem to be stuck closed. I could not find where it was sticking and did not want to break it by forcing it open.

Cute place! Really enjoyed having the kitchen and laundry as this was a stop mid-way through our extended trip so it was nice to do some cooking and wash some clothes. The back yard is really pretty and there’s a nice seating area on the porch to relax outside. There isn’t parking for this location but we never had an issue parking on the street outside right in front of the main house. Super cute - would stay again for sure!

There isn’t an oven which I’m sure is in the description but I must have missed it. There is a stove top and a toaster oven which we used one night to cook a frozen pizza - just had to cut it up into smaller pieces to fit it. Not a huge deal, and again, my own fault for missing it in the pictures/details for the place but just a call out for anyone expecting a full kitchen.

This room was perfectly located, with a kitchen where we were able to prepare meals and snacks. The bed was very comfortable, and the black out curtains really worked. The room was cozy and warm and nice.

The space, furniture, and location of the apartment were good. Coffee, sugar, plates/bowls, cups, kitchen utensils, cookware, paper towels, sponges, dish & hand soap, pepper, salt & olive oil was all provided which was awesome! There's a stove top, but only 2 out of 4 burners work. There's also a small toaster oven, not an actual toaster - no actual oven (not that we wanted an oven... just the grill)

My husband and I stayed for a whole week. The pics are NOT what's actual there. There was different bedding, there was no grill, and the yard wasn't well maintained. The pillows and mattress were hard and uncomfortable - luckily, we did bring our own pillows after reading other reviews. We tried sleeping with the pillows provided but woke up with neck kinks and headaches. Used our pillows the rest of the stay. The fitted sheet didn't actually fit. It seemed like it was stretched. We'd wake up EVERY NIGHT wrapped up in it and wake up multiple times to fix it. There was no grill as shown in the pictures and as advertised. We did, however, get reimbursed for our grilled meats/veggies because we did receive a message to go shopping off the island for food because the price on the island was "expensive." Which wasn't true at all! The grocery store at Hannaford on Cottage Street was actually MUCH cheaper than the Walmart we shopping at in Ellsworth!! The company that visited upstairs, on and off the whole week ( a young couple for a couple days, then a older single lady) obviously didn't get the memo that "quiet time" was 10pm-8am!!! We suggest some type of floor matting that would help with loud thumping as they walk back and forth. Like a long rug going down the hallway? I'm not sure how the upstairs look, but obviously, the bedroom is about where the one is downstairs and the bathroom is about or above the downstairs bathroom because it was nothing but walking around from 11 pm to 2am! Things getting knocked down, loud thumping. The last lady to stay before we left, would lock herself out of her apartment numerous times -- bother us for her "code", she would obviously get drunk every night and fall, tripping up her stairway. ... She eventually ended up finding a key that was on our deck, in a box, and used that for the remainder of her stay.

We loved the size of the property, the updated and simple decorations. The neighborhood, proximity to the neighborhood and park were dreamy.

We really liked how close we were to all the town had to offer. But also the amenities like a kitchen thar made our trip and visit fully functional. We also liked that the accommodations were fully equipped including washer and dryer.

Really nothing we didn't like. A little bummed there was no thermal oven only because we bought pizza before arriving!
