Great location, in easy drive to main attractions, but on a quiet cul de sac. Lodge was very clean and cozy, with an outdoor patio and lovely hot tub, and there was an enclosed small park opposite where the dog could be let off the lead. The owners were very quick to respond to our queries.

The kitchen area didn't have an extractor fan, which meant it was impossible to fry anything without setting off the smoke alarm! The 'oven' was a small combi-oven, which worked fine but perhaps limits those wanting to do a lot of self-catering (especially as there wasn't an oven glove!). There was a draught coming from the bedroom window, which made the whole property a bit chilly. Dogs aren't able to be left in the property at all, or enter the bedroom, which isn't clear at time of booking. It is also a shame that the visitor book/comments sheet are no longer available since Covid, as we would have welcomed other visitors' recommendations for local attractions (esp. with pets!). There were a few teething issues with the new hot tub, but owners were quick to remedy.

It was a bit annoying when the hot water was used in the ajoining property, it caused the pipes to knock which could be heard in the cottage.

The property is very functional and well equipped. The lounge area is nice and the place did exactly what it needed to.

The hot tub failed straight away. It wasn't fixed during our stay which was a short one but at it was one of the key reasons for choosing this accomodatrion that was particularly disapointing. We contacted the emergency number but there was a lot of emphasis on us chasing to try and get it fixed but we failed. Shame really.
