York Place Mews - Luxury 2 bed 2 bath Free Parking

Good location - quiet yet close to town. Great views from the front windows.

1. The temperature of the flat was 11 degrees when we arrived around 5pm. We switched the heating on straight away but it was still very cold that first evening. 2. The double bed mattress was very uncomfortable and we could feel the springs even though we are both slim. 3. There was a bad smell (wet dog / smoke). There were plug in air fresheners in every room, but many were empty. 4. Communal entrance hallway was muddy and the lights did not work at night. 5. Other minor issues - crockery mismatched and one with large chip. Towels small. No bedside lamps in the main bedroom. No mirrors, and very little furniture in the bedrooms. 6. Poor communication from the host - we requested a slightly earlier check in a number of times but we never received confirmation that this was possible.

Excellent location (despite being next to Kwik-Fit) overlooking The Stray. Warm once heating turned on. 2 bathrooms.

Icy cold 10’C in apartment on arrival - took several hours to warm up. Muddy stairs leading up to door of apartment. No light on the stairs from the front door to the door of apartment. Flimsy beds, thin mattresses, cheap bedding in poor state of repair. Single duvet on double bed in front bedroom. Took duvet from sofa bed which was a proper double duvet but had scorch marks on it. Pilling on bottom sheet in front bedroom. Ancient hob - markings long gone, which made it very difficult to control the heat & was not very safe. Kitchen drainer hole drips water into cupboard beneath. One of wine glasses cracked. Crockery not clean - a dishwasher would help with this. Bulbs missing from ceiling light in front bedroom. No bedside lights in front bedroom. Empty soap dispenser in en suite bathroom. Living room curtains don’t meet in the middle. Need more than 1 set of keys for 4 people. No response to messages sent to owner & premature “thanks for staying with us” message sent to us. Would have been nice to know that 1 lane of the road outside the property was closed for the duration of our stay.

Location was ok views were nice over looking park.

The entrance to the property was filthy. There was mud everywhere. The double bed was very uncomfortable springs sticking in you. Pillows very poor. Property was very clean.
