La Jolla Ocean Dream - Walk 2 Beach - Dog Friendly

They cram a lot into a tiny package. Furnishings, appliances and other equipment are well maintained. It has pretty much everything you would need. The neighborhood is very close to the beach and there are several decent restaurants in walking distance. Beach chairs were a bonus. Backyard has a lovely lemon tree and smells of honeysuckle. Great value for the number of bedrooms.Beds were very comfy and pillows were great - a rarity. Great place for our extended family. Wonderful communication from the rental company.

The neighbors are so close that they woke us up just from having a regular volume conversation in their own home. This is an issue because you must have all the windows open to stay cool as the house has no AC. Given all this, the leasing company uses noise detection equipment to judge if you are being too loud. We understood the need to be respectful to the neighbors and kept quiet when informed we were exceeding appropriate levels. Still, it was creepy to be monitored in this way. Just note that if you don't like being surveilled.

Location, location , location. Great access to the beach, running trails, food, it had everything! Parking was a great bonus, considering the area. Full kitchen and multiple bedrooms were super nice! Property managers were very responsive!

The kitchen was NOT clean, we spent a couple of hours on day one cleaning all the flatware, utensiles, and appliances. The shower in one of the bathrooms did not regulate water well. The six of us ended up using one shower, which tested our scheduling skills!

The home is located in a nice neighborhood and very quiet.

The home is older and with an old floor furnace the heating was not adequate especially in the converted garage bedroom which was very dusty and cold due to tile on a slab floor. This room needs a space heater this time of year.

The location was great, beds comfortable. It was decently stocked

Perfect windansea location. Loved that we could bring our pup and he had a little yard to run around in. Super clean. Old but clean. Comfy beds.

Nothing except the lack of AC. It was an unusual heatwave and normally this area doesn’t need AC so not their fault.

No A/C, but the house cooled down pretty quickly after opening windows

The property was well taken cared for, the beds were comfy, management always responded if we had any questions We would all stay there again

The location was amazing with an easy walk to a beautiful beach. The host was communicative and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The house was clean. It was easy to check in. The bedrooms and living room were comfortable. The yard was kept up nicely.

The bathrooms and kitchen are very old and not in the best shape. The listing did not let you know that there was another unit rented on the property so you did not have privacy. The host did not provide any board games and very few beach toys. The price was high for the condition of the rental and the fact that you have little privacy due to the second unit on the property.
