The Beeches - Chatsworth Apartment No 5 - Sleeps 4

Location, as whilst passed through Baslow on numerous times in the past, never stayed there. Baslow offers access to a number of differing areas, walks & pubs.

Access to the apartment is up a number of external & internal steps. The main bedroom would benefit from a king size bed instead of a double given the capacity of the room. Neither was there anywhere to hang your clothes. I'm not sure how clambering over the beds in the smaller bedroom works for people as you cannot go between the beds.

The location was great. The apartment was elegant, well equipped and very pleasant.

The second bedroom was compact. It is very hard to get into the beds... one has to crawl in from the foot of the bed.

Pros: wonderfully located for village, walks and Chatsworth. Tastefully decorated with a good shower and comfy sofa which pulled out into a day bed for more leg room. Plentiful blankets appreciated on chilly September evenings. Smart TV with all the platforms which was easy to use. We loved the little roof terrace although it was too wet to use this time - perhaps if we come again in the warmer months!

Nitpicks: my 6’2 husband struggled for headspace in the kitchen area. The green light on the smoke alarm in the main bedroom was a bit intrusive, would recommend sleep masks if you are used to a very dark room which luckily we had brought. The WiFi was fast but did cut out every so often (didn’t affect whilst streaming TV). Some traffic noise if windows are open.

We loved everything about the property! It was a perfect location and the terrace was also lovely. It was a lovely accommodation to return to after a days sightseeing.

Flat was quiet, clean, spacious, comfortable and very well furnished. Attractive building and gardens. Easy parking. Good location close to facilities in village and numerous attractions a short distance away.

No faults. We had an issue with the WiFi in the flat but it was rectified quickly by the owners.
