Great location, very well equipped apartment, and great value for the price.

Smoke alarm needs to be moved, it's very sensitive and above the stove is not a good place to have it.

Cockroaches and bugs. Did not refund my money

The bed made squeaky noise. There was no detergent and sponge to clean the wash basin and shower. There were no instructions on how to use the equipment. The air-conditioner was on a 2 hour timer which has to be restarted every time. Very inconvenient.

The accommodation is central, in walking distance of the beach (yes it's down a steep hill, but I have several health issues and was able to walk up and down, sometimes twice a day) I got the train from the airport and walked to and from the train station. There are many places to eat and drink around the accommodation. On first walking into the apartment it looks very nice, and that's where it ends.

There were several small issues and had it been just them, no problem. However, when the 3 messages sent to the owners prior to my arrival went unanswered, I guessed things were not going to go well. I couldn't check in until 3 so left my bag (had wanted to know if this was possible in my messages) and went walking. On my return I took my bag upstairs and thought I'd go for a swim (apartment was chosen for the swimming pool). Lovely looking pool was all fenced off, 2 kiddies pools open, I had dropped my bag on a lounger and was approached and asked if I had a ticket, I left. So on getting an actual response from the owners, it appears the loungers don't belong to them and they're €4 a pop 😳 I travel extensively and have never experienced this, next day I found out the pool was closed for the season, reopening in May. My complaints to the owners were met with bad attitude. All of this should be plainly written in the property description. Next thing, air con not working, room was like a sauna, (can't imagine how people cope in summer), balcony light also not working. After complaining to booking.com the owners said someone would come to fix it next day, ( no one did) had to have balcony door open to sleep at night. 2 nights running the wind was howling through the room and shaking the apartment door, (container, shown in photo, with air con pipe going into it was flying around the balcony, had to bring it in, middle of the night) Next there were the cockroaches, (I know they exist, but I've never experienced them) I don't do bugs, and it's one thing to see them on the floor, but something else to find them running around the cutlery drawer, squashed in the drawer and bits of them on the plates you have to eat off 🤮 would I ever want to stay here again, no chance. I requested a refund off booking.com to no avail and subsequent messages to the property went unanswered. Only allowed to add 4 photos.

Location! It is located between the sea (Marina and Bil Bil beach) and Arroyo de la Miel (the city centre and train station). 10-15 mins walk each way. Within 250 meters of walking there is about 20 restaurants and within 100 meters of walking there are several convenience shops, pharmacy, and a supermarket (MAS). Apartment got all basic equipment needed for cooking, cleaning and washing clothes. The apartment felt clean, and there was very good water pressure. It was easy to check in and out.

Bed is too small for two normal sized to sleep in (and also a bit flimsy). There is though a bed sofa to use if needed. There was a daily task of chasing cockroaches (i know they are common to warmer climates, but for those uncomfortable it might be good to know). There was insecticide in the apartment if needed. If you need to charge electronics, bring an extension cord. Wall sockets can only be found in the kitchen section.
