GBHouse was perfect location for attending a wedding at Le Petite Chatteau, only a few minutes walk away. Local shop was 2 minutes from the house. House had all essentials provided, was nicely decorated and gave a very home from home feel. perfect for a family. Lay-by opposit the house was perfect for unloading the car. Sensor night lights were also a great added touch for the children navigating to the bathroom at night.
For a better night's sleep, black out or thicker curtains would have been ideal as the curtains let in a lot of light early hours. Road was also very loud through the night but we did have the windows open.

It started as soon as we arrived,front door didn't open had to use rear door all the time.tv only have bbc1 nothing eles and had to change batteries in the remotes.there is thick dust under the sofas.there was 6 adults staying and 2 had to sleep in bunk bed.my mam and dad aged 80,and 79 both fell on the first night at the top of the stairs and cut them selves and bruised,I fell in the middle of the night going to the toilet also bruised and cut my arm,bathroom floor needed a mop around the toilet.i would recommend you start not good for elderly people.put it this way if we weren't attending a wedding on Monday we would have just turned around and gone home and got my money back plus compensation for what I will call a disaster of a break.now I could have put more in this review that happened while we stayed but just put the main things in as my wife said to be fair.
GBOn arrival, having paid more than £50 extra for an earlier check in (we had a baby with us) we found there was no hot water and no heating. For more than an hour, with a small baby, we sat phoning people to help. It was freezing cold. Eventually after a lot of stress it was resolved. After our 2night stay and obviously still feeling aggrieved, when trying to contact the host there was zero response from them. Worst experience. Very expensive mistake and we are still extremely disappointed.

Unfortunately the plug in the bathroom didn’t work and although I contacted the agency nobody came to fix it . This meant that none of us could have a proper wash before our daughter’s wedding . I do not blame the owners for this . The agency let them down .

The mattresses weren’t the best. Felt a bit cheap. But otherwise the place was nice. After booking, I was constantly getting emails from the owners about additional offers for all sorts of things that I had no interest in. It became a bit tedious.

Difficult to shower but understand unable to provide an improved situation
GBGBIt had a cosy atmosphere. I loved the log burner. The beds were very comfortable. The furnishings were of good quality.
There wasn’t an empty cupboard in the kitchen to store the food we brought. It would have been good to have a complimentary starter pack for the log burner. However there is a shop nearby where they can be purchased.
GBGBThe location to the wedding venue we were going to was brilliant. It was a five minute walk from le Petit Chateaux wedding. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed
It was a shame there was no shower. The main thing we did not like was no garden furniture in the garden. It was just a fenced grassed area so we could not sit outside in the lovely weather
