HERBERT COTTAGE by BOURNECOAST - A Charming "Cottage Style" Maisonette with a Courtyard and WIFI - FM9583

The apartment was very nice but a little bit on the pricey side. We were left wondering about the anonymous alcoholic on the door 🤔

Only 1 bedroom had a TV and unfortunately that didn't work. My 73 year old mum had a fall on the living room rug, it's extremely dangerous as it slides and moves so easily luckily she did fall onto the sofa but she did bang her arm on the edge of the sofa which left her with a bruise, unfortunately it also made her conscious and uncomfortable at my cousin's wedding.

Everything was super clean and it felt like we were at home away from home.

The bedroom on top floor is difficult to access and has squeaky floorboards.

Shower could of been larger

Good location for surf life saving competition which we were attending. Easy walk down to beach. Well equipped kitchen.

Mattress noisy in upstairs bedroom. 2 single beds in one room would have been better for our family configuration - grandparents, one parent and 2 children.

The cottage was lovely, nicely furnished, clean, and tidy. The location was good for where we wanted to go, and the walk down to Alum Chime beach was 18-20 mins. A very pleasant stay.

It lacked the little welcoming basic bits. An example is that there was no tea, coffee, or sugar available for us to make a drink after driving for over 3 hours. The bedroom upstairs also lacked a bin, which would have been helpful as the stairs were quite steep and narrow. Parking is also a bit limited as we had 2 cars, but there is parking for one vehicle.. The neighbours also liked to look into the living room, which was a bit off-putting.
