Skyline Haven - Entire Apartment - Free Parking, Espresso, Netflix - 15m to CBD, Stadium, Ferry

We were fortunate to stay in an easily accessible and well-maintained apartment, which exceeded our expectations. The host has been incredibly prompt and attentive in responding to all our queries, making us feel valued and cared for throughout our stay. We had the pleasure of staying for two nights in August, during which we experienced a level of comfort that truly enhanced our visit. The kitchen was impressively equipped with all the necessary amenities. I had the delightful opportunity to prepare fresh coffee using the barista machine each morning, a simple yet profound joy that significantly uplifted my spirits and set a positive tone for the day ahead.

Access to the sky walk is great. Very spacious room. Use of washing machine was great, with detergent supplied. Thanks! Good heating, felt cosy. Welcome board was a cute touch.

The stairs like everyone has mentioned. They were slippery, uneven, steep with no hand rail. Lugging our bags back and forth in the dark in the cold icy weather sucked. Especially when the gravel driveway means you cant even wheel your bags up to the stairs. First impressions are important. My first impression after parking next to the letterbox was eyeballing everyone's trash that was scattered around the shared bins. Asking your guests to wash their own dirty dishes is not ideal as I picked up a fork from the cutlery tray and it was sticky and filthy. The glasses weren't clean so I don't think you can trust others to have the same expectations of cleanliness. The shower didn't drain and after inspecting it, was full of hair and muck. The owner organised a cleaner to come empty it, yet the shower still blocked up after 4 mins in there. Maybe some dark face washers or make up remover wipes if worried about the towels being stained. The dehumidifiers are pretty noisy. Was hoping for a nice hot shower after a long day of driving and instead was worried about the shower overflowing on the floor. Bit of a shame. Netflix kicked us out after every episode, had to restart the TV countless times.

They should have railing at the steps because is quite steeped the stairs.

The apartment is located about 15m drive from city, got everything we need. Jane is very helpful and kind, 10 out of 10, highly recommend it if you are visiting Wellington.

The shower’s water pressure is a bit low.

Skyline Haven Apartment is a total gem, steep stairs and all! The listing clearly shows the stairs to the apartment, so let’s not whine about a bit of a climb—it’s so worth it. This place is clean, cozy, and feels incredibly warm, like a true home away from home. The owner went above and beyond with a welcome note, a bottle of local wine, and delicious cheese and crackers—never had that in all my travels, and I’m still raving about it! Despite some seriously crappy weather, we rented a car and had a blast exploring the hills around Wellington’s south coast and beyond, perfect for nature lovers like me who’d rather skip city buildings. Coming back each afternoon to this warm retreat was a treat, with Netflix, a killer espresso machine, and a comfy bed to unwind. Karori’s location nails it: 10 minutes’ walk to Karori Mall’s shops and cafes, close to ZEALANDIA, and just 15 minutes from the CBD. The owner was always ready to help, making this stay top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone craving a nature-focused escape with all the comforts!

This was a great place to stay. It is in the hills behind Wellington but only a short drive, the hosts were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was clean, spacious and all the facilities that you could need. It's only a short drive to supermarkets and "The Pickle Jar" , an excellent local pub with delicious meals. Make sure you check out the photos of the steps. If you think you can handle them you will be rewarded with a fantastic experience.
