Fantastic large 1 bed Loft Flat close to Heathrow - 77VFR5

Very convenient to the airport, as it was only a handful of stops on the tube from Heathrow. Getting keys was very easy, and the location seemed quite secure. There were lights on the stairs so you could see where you were walking after dark. Could get to most places in the city in less than 30min. Quick walk to and from the Hounslow West tube station and nearby grocery store. Several restaurants were also in close walking distance. Flat was on the very top floor, so there was little to no noise from anyone else staying in a different unit. Shower had adequate hot water, and having a washer available allowed me to travel with less clothing, as I could do a few loads of washing over my stay. Bed was comfortable, and the dressers were more than adequate for my belongings for 2wks. Couch was also comfortable for watching TV or movies.

This flat is on the third floor - if you have lots of heavy luggage like I did (for a 2wk stay), it will be a pain to get it up and down the narrow stairs. The weather varied, but being on the top floor of the house meant that the unit did get pretty warm. A floor fan of some sort would have really helped. I opened the windows often to help moderate the temperature, but the one nearest to the kitchen was stuck much of the time. There also are planes flying over every few minutes during the day. However, I didn't mind that, knowing that I would be out much of the time. The flyovers did stop in the evenings, too, so sleep was not disturbed. The folding door on the shower was off the track when I arrived and didn't stay put for very long each time I fixed it. Had to call the owner within a couple of days for more toilet paper, as there was only one partial roll to be found in the entire flat. There also was only one small trash can, right outside the bathroom door. There was no separate bin in the bathroom, so all bathroom trash had to be put in with the kitchen trash. After 2wks, the trash was very full by the time I left. I opted not to have the cleaner come in the middle of stay because nothing much else needed addressed, and I just took out all the recycling and kitchen waste each day when I went out. There was kitchenware to use but it was very limited - only one saucepan and one frying pan, so things had to be cooked in turns if the same kind of pan was needed for them all. There was a small bottle of cooking oil and one of dish soap, but there wasn't any salt, pepper, paper towels, or detergent for the washer. What's more, a rental flat in Britain with no tea bags? I was shocked by that! I had to buy all of those on my first trip to the store, and I left them in the kitchen for any future guests The wifi dropped in and out at times, so it made watching Netflix or other streaming apps occasionally difficult.
