Porthmadog, Sleeps 11, 5 Bedrooms, 5 Bathrooms, Mountain Views

We had a wonderful experience throughout our stay in Porthmadog. We wanted to spend time indoors and to spend quality time with friends and family. The property was perfect for our goal as it was big enough for us and especially for the kids.

Overall the property was worth it for the money.

Lovely place, nice decor, clean and tidy. Nice big kitchen with plenty of space and well stocked with pots pans plates ect (there are many places I've previously used that haven't had enough). Generally clean tidy, nice decor, plenty of space. Detached so you're not disturbing anyone. We stayed in the middle Of winter but I can imagine those gardens with the views are amazing in the summer. Comfortable, and you should Definitely be able to find a pillow to your liking. You always go to places and hear pillows were too hard, too soft, too thin. There's quite a variety of pillows between these rooms so grab your preference. Fab communication with the host and both the host and housekeeping (who I spoke to via message during the stay and we saw after we had left as we were still sat in the car park waiting for green flag 😭) were very friendly.

Rubbish collections were a bit of an issue, we did arrive on boxing day and obviously collections are always awquard this time of the year but the bins were all full which meant we had no where to put rubbish and unfortunately had to leave some in the property when we left. Then I'd just say housekeeping needs to think about attention to details, we did notice several handles on doors and draws that appear to be starting to wobble/come loose. I wouldn't want anyone to be locked in a room if the handle comes loose. Similarly I did notice in a few places, (behind bathroom bin in middle floor, and around the lamp in the dining area seems to be gathering a collection of hair, (looks like long dog hair, dust ect). In addition to this there's bits left in draws under furniture and shelves. (Tinfoil under shelf in the kitchen area, I couldn't reach to move it. A balloon on top of book shelf in sitting room as well as some marshmallows stuck to a kids quiz page on the same shelves. There was a small ball and some yellow plastic under the sofa, and in the sitting room there's a side table with a draw that's full of general dust and bits of Lego). One of the beds also had stained sheets we washed them whilst there. We would have hoovered before leaving but the hoover doesn't appear to work.

Cosy warm and comfortable, the owners made a real effort with Christmas Decorations in place as well

Location was great, the view was stunning. Enough room for everyone and the kitchen/diner was great for a family meal. The house was amazing!

We could have just done with some bins in the bedrooms but this was very minor!

Facilities excellent. Decor lovely. Beds perfect. Very clean. Bathrooms amazing. Loved the stay!!

Such a beautiful and well stocked house with mountain views and a 30 second walk to the high street with shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs in a stunning area. There were 8 adults from 3 families and we absolutely loved the space throughout the house. 3 of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and the other 2 have their own bathroom with an extra loo downstairs. The kitchen and dining room were perfect for our large family and the main lounge was great for us all to watch a few Rugby World Cup matches. The additional lounge/snug at the top of the house was wonderful for sitting with a cup of tea to get some space and admire the mountain views. And there is a laundry room which was great for washing and drying out wet and muddy clothing. The house was warm and comfortable and Jane was an excellent host keeping in touch via Booking.com. The parking was excellent being just off a very busy street. The surrounding area is stunning and we did a number of walks along the coast and beach, zip lined at Zip World and took the steam train up to Blaenau Ffestiniog and back again. We only had 2 full days here and would have loved to stay longer.

Everything was great!

House was immaculately presented ,with beautiful deco. All finished to a high standard. Location was perfect, just 1 minutes walk to high Street. Ample parking available also. Also spectacular views from the top converted room. Would highly recommend this house,it was perfect.
